Im amazed at some of the comments here all via keyboard testing. Yeah ok.
Comparing this to any 400+ Hp hyper/super car is well..a b s u r d! Want a camera? Get an Escalade. The reviewer is typical spoilt why doesnt my car make pizza for me. My god 15 years ago we drove with alot less and thats what this represents. Its a F'n mid engine fun rocket. IM glad Ive driven it and Im happy Alfa is back. Want reliability? Get a Honda-- If thats all you are buying for.

This car new ordered will not be 80,000$ It will be if you let a dealer gouge you for a Launch Edition.

I was with you until you made the reliability statement. How can one spend 50 to 80 thousand dollars an expect unreliability to be an acceptable part of your purchase. No one should have to buy and $50,000 vehicle that is going to not work 50% of the time.

What data do you have or anyone here for that matter about Alfa 4C reliability. No one so that was easy. I will say Alfa do quite well in Germany and have many dealers and cars on the road.

I didnt lose anyone to be frank. Read ANY forum and you will never buy that particular car. Id happily buy a 4C and drive it and fix it if need be. Just like my Z. Its a car. They work, they dont work. Alot of you have ZERO experience with this car or Alfa in general so the old adages from the 70's are the references lol.

I had 3 Alfa's in the US. All were more reliable than my very low mileage 89 Corvette and this was in the early 90s. Whatevah! LOL!

My 2009 Abarth 500 I had for 3 years here in Germany was bullett proof. No issues. Italian cars are not the dregs you make them out to be here. They are modern, well appointed and have a soul severely lacking in so many cars. Hows GM these day LOL! Toyota and its MILLIONS of recalls etc. There is no perfection in the auto world. But if you read the Top Gear review I linked here sometimes a car, a particular car just nails you and you pursue it, as imperfect as it might be or seem to be. Im glad Im not scared lol!

Tell the truth now. How many miles you do in the Fiat? Forget about years. Its all about miles..

I sold my Abarth 500 with over 40,000km's and it was tuned as well by Gtech here in Germany. It got used and well maintained. Was my daily driver for 3 years. Thats not a bad record. Many in the Abarth Club here in Germany have had similar experiences. A good reliable and fun car. Not much more you can ask for in this world. Italian or not.

My XKE is fairly reliable. This may be an exception to the rule, yet I am afraid to actually rely upon it. I am guessing the Alfa is the same.

Modern Alfa's are reliable. Are they Honda's no. Are they better than the 1970's sure. Fuel injected, etc etc. Its a modern car with a touch of soul not found in many marques. Fiat owns them. If they are like my Abarth was its all good.

I think folks just need to get out and drive them when they arrive. They sell well here and my colleagues at work have them and use them daily. Much ado about nothing really.

My 86 Lotus Turbo was my daily driver in 1997 for over a year. Zero problems. Its a car. You drive it and maintain them they run better. Always.

Why this and not a Lotus for the price?

Considered a Lotus. Been a while since owning my last Alfa. Test drive was great in the 4C and Richard's review from Top Gear mirrors my thoughts. Not a perfect car, nothing is but it grabbed me! So we shall see :)
