Well my decision got a lot earlier. Earlier this week I was told about a bonus but didn't really except anything crazy until the rumor mill at work started saying it would be like years worked at the company times your salary. Seemed way to rediculous to be true but i just got a direct deposit tonight (not even talking about all the payouts from the stock and other **** that hasn't even happened) and it by itself is enough to easily cover a new 2015 GT-R for cash.

I think this just made my decision and I will be going with a new GT-R now. Due to another mistake on what i was originally getting i found out I am getting significantly more so I could get the GT-R and still pay off my house. Needless to say I am pretty damn stolked right now.

Still gonna get a loan and invest the cash. Actually thinking of starting a side business (ISP) and use the cost of the internet connection ($2000-3000/month) as a deduction to the crazy amount of taxes I will be paying this year and enjoy some 1 gig internet to my home as well.

Unbelievable how generous the company has been.

Come on, man. You don't need to keep putting that much financial info on the internet. It's not necessary for us to have that much data to answer your question. You're either bragging or simply unaware that putting that much info out in public is a bad idea. I'm leaning toward the former.

I had a guy in my section that bragged every day how much money he made and all the money he is going to inherit. Then his wife took it all and now he is broke.

He is bragging and it is in extremely poor taste.

Well i don't see how any of the information I have state would hurt me. I don't really feel that I am 'bragging' when I am bringing up relevant information on whether i should get the GT-R or not where cost and savings/revenue is a huge part of that. Now if I went around mentioning it in random threads well yeah I could see how that would be bragging.

It seems like the older people are the more they take offense to someone discussing compensation. I know for a lot of people that are closer to my age they don't care it all but it depends on the person of course.. That said as a whole the younger age-group seems to care a lot less.

Anyway I am going do to Tustin tonight to test drive the GT-R and make my decision over the next day or two. Thanks for everyone who provided input!

You've posted way too much info and are expecting some ego stroking. Otherwise you would have been a whole lot less specific about things. It's pretty classless, and to pass it off as something younger people do is asinine. Unless your point is that younger people as a whole these days are lacking in good sense and decorum, in which case I'd agree with you.

I will admit I do have a young person mentality in a lot of ways but I did actually get into computers at a very young age so I also primarily used DOS when started using computers. Windows 95 was actually new when I built my first one after a couple years of starting my interest. I also played all the old dos games when they were new (commander keen, wolf 3d, doom, etc...) which is usually only the case for people I meet in their 40's, heh. But that is probably the limit of anything about me that is older than most. That and I only listen to classic rock (70's/80's, yeah stuff from before I was born).
