Supra!!!! :excited:

Watch them slap a Lexus badge on it. If it gets made at all, that is.

Those mirrors are begging to be snapped off.
A little too techie on the interior but I don't know what all the buttons do so It could just be the looks. Overall I like it though. I won't go trading in my Z for it, but I would drive one for sure. It is sexy. |
Most likely to never see production award goes to........................................

Any car manufacturer can make a hot concept. Production is a whole other issue.
Not holding my breath on Toyota is back!!!! In concept form. The lfa was supposed to be a $150k. Then when it went into production... $375k. And it has an is250 interior at that price.:shakes head: Toyota still has much to prove. |
im in, sell me one now!
|
Looks great but knowing Toyota, it will probably get a 1.6 I4 doing 180bhp...
|
I read that the Toyota CEO (who is himself a race car driver) drove the concept car on Gran Turismo 6, which is apparently where the concept came from. When he beat his own Personal best on fuji speedway (in an LFA) with the video game, he OK'd production of the concept. Word is the car doesn't even have an engine in it, it is just a shell.
I guess it was thrown out there, and accomplished its main purpose.....Getting people to say "Toyota" |
As a side note, I think the car is Ugly as F&%#.

Is it just me? The FT-1's profile just look like the 370z. Almost identical.:ugh2: Then the front looks like Enzo. The real looks like LFA. Lol.

I expect some the areo will be lost in translation -- but that's okay. This belongs in the Z range of price, not the GT-R. Hell, the LF-A doesn't exactly run rings around the GT-R, and it costs 5 times as much. I'm hoping Toyota will keep this as a Nissan Z fighter -- and I for one would certainly strongly consider it as an alternative. And as a bonus

I don't think we have a chance of this car being in the Z range. Inflation puts the 98 Supra cost close to 70k currently. That is if I remember correctly and they were around 50k for the TT version.
My guess is 80-90k. |
