How others see car enthusiasts

I think driving a car and washing laundry are disparate.

Entertainment vs chore...

While I understand that some people think driving/maintaining a car is sort of like a chore, but I cannot imagine that a sane human being considers doing laundry entertainment.

I would guess that people who aren't into cars view car enthusiasts in the same way that I view people who enjoy politics or knitting. It's not my thing, but I can understand in a small capacity that people enjoy it. I cannot understand someone who thinks of laundry as entertainment unless it's in some bassackwards manner like their life sucks in all other aspects, and laundry is their release, which imo demonstrates they're not sane.
