yah, on red emblems for me either. im too old for that stuff, and dont need extra attention from kids wanting to pry them off with their screw drivers. :shakes head:

Good point on the prying off though that's another good reason for me not to do this |
Here it is after getting a wash today. Put a lot of elbow grease in and still needs more work. There is a chip on the driver door, scratch on passenger side mirror, chips in hood/front bumper, and the passenger side lower bumper is scrapped underneath. Hope to make it look as clean as yours, but will be a while as I need to recoup from the purchase. First up is tint asap and ordering some touch up paint to correct some of the blemishes. Needs to be buffed and it will look good as new.

Get DR. ColorChip. Seriously that pen stuff from the manufacturer has nothing on DCC.

so i did both the '12 and '09's oil change over the weekend.
my '12 has quieter clicking and the Mobil1 green cap (0W20) made the engine even quieter. i run Mobil1 silver cap 5W20 in my '09. |

In other news I have yet to find a name for my Fit. But nevertheless it is getting tinted today. No more fishbowl and hopefully cool down the interior from sitting in the parking lot all day at work. |

I also bought this thing which helped keep the car alot cooler too when combined with my tint Amazon.com: Basix Magic Shade Super Jumbo Sunshade (Styles May Vary): Automotive What shade of tint are you going with? |

I was debating between 20% and 15%. During the daytime I could of gotten away with the 15% since the front windshield is measured in acres and lets so much light in. But I decided on the 20% all around just to not attract too much attention from rookies out their wanting to do routine traffic stops for minor infractions. I think it came out pretty good. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps5169820a.jpg |

Good luck getting my SSR's from me, I have always wanted the Type-F's but I wasn't willing to sell the NISMO's on my Z so the Panda was the perfect platform for that :icon17: I must say though, if it wasn't for my SSR's I would be rocking a set of 17" Matte Black Enkei RPF1's for sure, what do you think of those for yourself? :) |
looks good on the tint. i have 20% on the rear side windows and rear. :) i left the front sides and windshield stock.
the tint's great cause i dont need to use the cargo cover any more. my wife keeps black cloth just in case she needs to park it in an area prone to vandals near the city when she needs to carry her client's computers. can't see anything inside the car. :D |

RPF1's look great on the GE's imo.
speedfreek- are you keeping the pin stripes? |

The tint is perfect on my car and if you combine them with the door visors it really helps to keep the sun out of my eyes when I am on the highway driving home from work Quote:
Lucky for me I have met all of my goals for both cars so now it will be just little stuff here and there. Quote:

BTW, David I would really suggest this Chemical Guys stuff for hiding any interior scratches
Chemical Guys TVD_101_16 Natural Shine Matte Interior & Exterior Satin Shine Dressing (16 oz) I have some scratches from the previous owner and this really helped to hide them and really bring back the luster of the plastic panels |
Thanks for the heads up. I have used a couple of the Chemical Guys products on the Z and liked them. I will have to order some of that when I place my next order for car care products. I need to polish and wax both of them before cooler weather starts to set in.

good job on the fix, waizzz. i worked on my '12 too, done claybarring. :D
will do the Griot's OneStep Sealant over the weekend. :p yes, im lazy. it has diminishing abrasives while you seal. and i just toss the foam pad when im done cause it's a HUGE PITA to wash sealant off the pads. :eekdance: |

I have so much cleaning stuff at this point, it's getting absurd :icon17: |

after trying a lot of products over the years, i just use a very selected few these days. |
Feel free to send me anything you dont need  I really need to break down and buy some stuff to polish and wax both of mine.

also check out their washbuckets. i have 2 of those. very good size, easy to store (since rectangular vs can), comes with lid to easily stack, grit guard built-in, casters, etc. |
That cart would be nice. Maybe I can talk someone into getting it for me this Christmas along with some detailing stuff.
I just use two Home Depot buckets with the grit guards I got off Amazon. |
