I give up trying to clean these wheels by hand, the spokes are too close together and my hands are too big so I bought one of these

waizzz- should've asked me earlier. that brush will just spray you with dirty soapy water while washing your wheels. one of the recent WORST tools i bought. :shakes head: i only use it now to wash the barrel of the wheel without removing the wheel from the car.

here's the brush you want:

20" Montana Original Boar's Hair Wheel Brush : Amazon.com : Automotive

Long Handle Boars' Hair Wheel Brush - Griot's Garage

kenchan 07-08-2013 03:57 PM

... or just use a wash mitt or long hair MF towel as your mitt.

Waiz 07-08-2013 05:40 PM

That thing is perfect, nothing else can it fit inside the spokes since my hands are too big lol

I used it on Saturday, really came in handy!

as long as you dont get to obsessive with shoving it up and down the tailpipe i think you should do just fine with that :rofl2:

I use it to get behind the wheel face so there is no splash back

I don't need it for the exhaust though, that thing is easy to clean :)

kenchan 07-09-2013 02:40 PM

oh so you're cleaning the barrel of the wheel. in that case, yah, that brush works. i mentioned on my earlier post that that's about all i can use it for. :D

for wheels i just use the long handle boar's hair brush, and remove the rest of it using a towel.

Waiz 07-09-2013 06:44 PM

I just use a microfiber sponge and microfiber towel combination for the face and use this brush to get behind it.

Side note, I am really happy with the matte finish on the Type-F's, I never thought I would like a matte wheel but this one I really do.

That means alot coming from you so I appreciate the support

The best thing about this car is that it allows me to retire my Z from normal duty and will allow me to finally fix the issues I have been having with it since I have another car I can drive around while it is in the bodyshop

Next project car will be a 1980 Toyota Corolla, I always wanted to build one of these and just need the space and time to do so.

I still want to have an R35 down the line but no timetable for that :)

kenchan 08-02-2013 06:29 PM

vividracing 08-02-2013 07:26 PM

Thanks guys, I sure miss the 87 octane and $15 every two weeks in gas.. but having a car that can get out of its own way trumps all

kenchan 08-02-2013 10:05 PM

I have never had such a cheap car to operate, I am loving it's practicality!

The Fit allows me to keep my Z for a long time and since the Z is long paid off I have no intentions of ever selling it

Little update:

Added the OEM rear bumper garnish and Gorilla wheel locks

This is pretty much how she will look going forward, I don't really want to do anything else to her exterior-wise but I did order a
new Zeta armrest for the interior which I have yet to install

I need it since one of the people in my carpool is clueless when he puts his computer bag in my trunk and I don't want him to scratch my bumper

I actually like the way it looks too, adds a little contrast to the rear

how is it when you have to wax/polish? does that get in the way like a sore thumb, or not too bad? and is the material plastic like or more like that slip-proof stuff people put on metal stair cases?

thanks.

What about some front and rear jdm bages (Red H). I think that would be the finishing touch.

Not unless you mean putting an electric motor to make it a hybrid :icon17:

I am more than satisfied with the power since it is so light it's very nimble and if anything I am trying to make it more efficient only

I'm not a fan of those but I know alot of other people have them

Jazz Emblem and Red Jdm Badges. Do it, Do it, Do it!

As far as the swap I guess some angels just aren’t meant to have halo’s.

Keep it up. Fun car!
