dang, you sure put in a lot of $$ into your fit

my fits need a wash. they are filthy salty. :ugh:

Actually, not that much when you really add it up.

Alot of the stuff I got a really good deal on so it has really been a #budgetballer build :icon17:

The Mugen grille was something I have been looking at since I got the car back in May and I was like "Why the F not?"

I have decided not to do any big aero mods with this car like I did with my Z so it should cut down on any big purchases.

Oh cool, didn't know that!

Fixed :icon17:

I went so overboard on my Z there is no way I could ever top what I did with that car. That is why I just buy a few things here and not go too crazy :)

sounds good, waizzz.

im done spending on my fit's for now. im just going to maintain them for the rest of ownership. :D it's good to know maintenance cost is really low on these cars.

As of right now the plan is to install the Clazzios and tackle painting the rear "diffuser" with plastidip + glossifier this weekend. I tried to plastidip it last weekend and didn't mask it correctly but I was happy with the finish.

You and I both have been anti-plastidip but I think for that small part below the bumper it's fine. That's all I plan to use it for, nothing else

Future plans are the following:

-Upgrade to 205 size tires
-Cusco front strut bar
-K&N typhoon intake
-Upgraded shocks (after awhile)

yah, im still anti-plasti-shitt for anything on the car. :icon17: hahahaha.

that front swaybar appears to be a pita to install. are you going to do it yourself? i was thinking about doing it, but then decided my swifts's sway isn't too bad afterall, so going to leave it for now. i just had to get use to that amount of sway on this narrow car. :D as far as intake, i dont mind the stocker, and shocks... not sure when those are going to be available...

I have no idea why I wrote sway bar when I meant to write Strut bar :icon17:

:p I'm going to remove the rear bumper and it should allow me to control the quality of the spray much better. When I am done it will look like paint and hell if I dont like it I will just give it to my shop to paint.

I honestly agree with you regarding the sways, not really necessary. I don't even think that the strut bar will make a noticeable difference in anything but after talking to one of my friends he did say it was noticeable in helping to mitigate the chassis flex. If my shop can get me a decent price I will pull the trigger later in the year.

kenchan 02-14-2014 07:18 PM

yah, the car doesnt really need a strut bar either, i dont think. i just got use to the car's dynamics and caliberated the offset in my head to compensate. :icon17: hahaha.

these Fit sports are decent fun cars, but honestly.. dont waste too much money on them. at the end of the day, the reason why they're great is because they're cheap.

You're probably right about the strut bar, that won't be any time soon.

I won't go too crazy with this car since it's my daily but I will always be tinkering with it, that's just how I am (and I know you are too ).
