You are the second person to complain about their WRX suspension, might be time for a shock upgrade to Bilsteins or some Koni's?
Anytime man. Must be a fun little DD!

As far as the WRX, what year is it? What mods do you currently have? My buddy put a rear sway bar on his car and it made a world of difference

Yeah, I'm starting to think a whole new setup is warranted. I see RCE springs + gtworx bilstein is a popular combo, but I need a tax return before I can do anything to my car -_-

2011 WRX hatch. rolls like a drunken sailor lol. i'm trying to figure out if swaybar or suspension is more 'bang for buck'.

not to derail a fit thread. sorry. wais obviously doesnt have these problems with Panda

Id say a swaybar forsure. Like I said, he did the rear bar and some endlinks and it really changed the way the car drove! It was a night and day improvement IMO.

Now, back on topic! lol

The main reason why I started this thread here was to show people that you didn't have to break the bank to have fun in a car and to hopefully allow people to take a closer look at this segment in general.

I am really glad that Kenchan and I had a hand in you getting your car

It honestly is a fun DD and at nearly 40mpg on the highway it is really economical. The car itself is really light so it handles like a go-kart especially with my springs, tires and lighter wheels

I literally LOL'd at the "rolls like a drunken sailor comment"

I don't care about us going OT for you Andrew, we go way back

I would say for sure start out with the upgraded shocks since that will be an immediate improvement. Are you still not wanting to go any lower or was it just that the Tanabe's were too low for your liking?

+1 for sways and endlinks, did you ever have them on Rin?

well, the tanabe spring rates were WAY too soft (they were NF210s), and they never cut the bumper stops on my shocks, so ride was horrible. i'm okay with going lower, but i don't want to go slammed. i need something that really is performance-oriented..and closer to OEM height the better. we'll see what i end up with.

i had the sways and endlinks on rin. whiteline supplied them, decent stuff need to do research still though on what's good on the WRX.

i had DF210's on my old fit (fit #1) and it was a rough ride. the paint started chipping off after about 1-2 months of use as well.

fit #2 is stock (09)
fit #3 runs swift. good ride, no chipping paint.

I have been running the DF's for about 7 months, so far so good

In about 20k I will look to upgrade the shocks but I am good with my suspension setup otherwise

yah, i think in your area where you dont use road salt during winter, your DF should last a while.

tein springs were the same way. they rust and chip very badly. eibach/swifts have been very good so far as far as useage in salt.

Excellent point, I didn't think about the salt

Makes me cringe just thinking about it
