Definitely took cues from the Evos. |
Looking through the photos with the exposed front end you definitely get the idea that this is going to be a very trim, sculpted body once the padding and camouflage comes off.

Good find Steve!

The Mustang being found on a track with minimal covers was never intended to be photographed. There are some mock ups with a Fusion layered over the Mustang prototype and they look similar. http://imageshack.us/scaled/large/838/4t8h.jpg |
Definitely going to be similarities, but I think that's the point with their new design language. When all is said and done, and they sit side-by-side, obviously they are going to look very different even with similar design language.
|
yeah not sure why people get all crazy over the cars being similar. every company follows a design language across all its models.
look at all the new lexus models. All the Hyundai.s BMW etc. |

I mean, it draws minor items into its design for cost savings, but really when you see a Mustang(v6,v8,shelby,etc) you know it is a Mustang. |

Steve since you prolly know where it is offhand, theres a rendering of what this would look like without the covers. and it looks good.

I think I know what you're talking about, and it did look pretty good. I try not to rely on those too much because you never know, but based on how the front looks vs. how it looked under cover you definitely get the feeling that the body shape is going to be very trim and sculpted with good proportions. Somewhat low slung and very sporty with dimensions more in line with an M4 (M3 Coupe) than the current S197 chassis Mustangs. You can tell that it's smaller inside just by looking at the driver.
I'm excited for it. Lots of cool new cars in the pipeline. |
