those guys are crazy (people that do the flyby).

one day, I drove my wrx at the posted speed limit and stopped at the redlight About a second or two later, this big truck went through the redlight. I was pretty sure he tried to catch up with me and then couldn't stop. Luckily nobody got hurt.

Haha so true. Ive been looking into them a bit more and there are a handful of guys running 500-600whp on stock motor and tranny...If that becomes a regular event the Z market will have its hand full with them. A gutted interior BRZ/FRS weighs in at 2400lbs. That weight has be jealous for sure.

I can say i've seen that too. I pulled up to a 3 lane intersection and watched a truck come up behind me and fly through 3 lanes of both directions of traffic. I couldn't believe my eyes when he swerved through the cars. I thought for sure he was going to die. Freaking stupid people need to pay attention.

Full Blown motorsports is doing all of their testing on one car...they have done 3 turbo kit reiterations on it and right now its dynoing 600+whp stock motor. I cant believe it.

And yes that weight is nuts. I watched a video of a 400whp FRS do a 1/4mile in 11.3s.

Really considering going to the dark side now that im researching haha. Lets hope the Z35 will be lighter! Id be so happy if our cars were stock 3000lbs.

i saw this one topgear episode (2013) where the guys took a Viper, an Aston Martin, and a Lexus LFA to the drag strip and they all lost to modified civics and mitsubishis. They weren't even close
Not sure if they lost the races intentionally to make the episode more interesting or because the other cars were that fast
