My New DD (Warning: Subaru Content Inside)

RE: oil filters. Stay with Subaru OEM oil filters. These cars don't like any aftermarket ones.

Oil is a touchy subject (as usual), but Mobil 1 is fine if you're not pushing the car ridiculously hard. I read somewhere on NASIOC that Rotella T6 is pretty good too, but they're using a different weight than Subaru specifies for some odd reason. HAven't figured that out yet.

I'm using Royal Purp because I have Pep Boys coupons

Looks like all the time away from prem status has affected your ability to detect trollololololing

Don't run Mobil 1 in a turbo Subaru. Go search over at NASIOC if you feel like it, but the short version is that the EJ burns M1 at a much greater rate than other oils. No one's come up with the exact reason why, but the general consensus is to avoid M1 like the plague.

like i said, if you're just puttering around, m1 is fine. but i think i mentioned if you're going to push the car hard, go with something else. rotella t6 has been mentioned quite a bit.

and yes, the brake light vinyls like that are awesome.
