The Not-so-Mini

Thought this was kinda funny. My wife's Mini in front of my Z. Her Mini always looked small in comparison to my Ridgeline, not so much next to the Z.

In all fairness, it is a Countryman so it's a bit bigger. In fact, her plate is MOR MINI - since her last name is Moore and it's bigger than a regular Mini. Get it?

That's cool. I'm surprised that the Z looks small in comparison. I like the personalized plate too.

I've actually been thinking of a Countryman for a reliable DD. What do you think of it, ScottIN?

It's ok. It's quirky-which I guess is the whole theme of Mini. When you get in, forget everything you've ever known about other cars because nothing is where it should be. But ride is ok (see below), handles ok, does great in the snow. Quiet. Quality seems good. Acceleration is ok (she has an All4S). I think she's had a couple little recall issues but nothing major. My only real complaints are (a) cupholders aren't big enough to even hold a 20 oz. Coke - you're pretty much limited to cans, and (b) it has run flat tires which just beat the crap out of you. She'll change those to regulars when it's time.

Her last car was an RSX-S and that thing was just atrocious in the snow (even with snow tires), so she wanted something sporty but AWD. She got it like the 2nd day they were in dealer showrooms.
