2015 Mustang (50th Anniversary)??

I'd be careful with this if I was Ford...at stake is a huge customer base of Mustang fans that they can't afford to lose. Anything too drastic and they could

I'd be careful with this if I was Ford...at stake is a huge customer base of Mustang fans that they can't afford to lose. Anything too drastic and they could be in big trouble. Not much of anything about that concept screams Mustang and/or musclecar. But...having said that, the very first blue pic in this thread seems like it could grow on me.

Read a stat somewhere that said the average age of a current Mustang buyer is 51....That's getting into Corvette territory!

For me, if it weighs less, retains power, and gets a decent IRS....It's all win!

Ford has to attract a new demographic of buyer, and Gen Y hasn't been too friendly to mustang sales.

I saw that average age of 51 story too, but somehow I find that hard to believe. I'm certain I see way more 20-30 somethings driving them than people over 50, although when I do see the older folks, they are usually the ones in the convertibles.

Its probably referring to new sales. You know, the way the automobile manufacturer gets money.

Well, just changing the design to try to be more appealing to the younger generation won't help the fact that most of them can't afford a new car anyway.
