He said that he was looking for exclusivity. Much as those Mustangs are rare, you can't really tell the difference between them and a V6 unless you're right up on them. There's very little visual difference to one of the more common performance cars out there.

Drove an M roadster this morning, very nice...searching for the hardtop coupe or maybe the older Clownshoe with the s54 motor.

I guess I just like sleepers

If this had been a year or two ago I would be running for the first clean Terminator I saw, not a fan of the modern retro look.

Lemers 04-21-2012 12:22 PM

If you can wait the next mustang is supposed to be more euro. And the extended the Shelby agreement through 2015 and beyond.

NYBladeZ 04-21-2012 12:24 PM

SVT didn't need Shelby, Shelby needed SVT. The 4.6 cast iron DOHC with the eaton s/c was bangin. The most powerful and fastest Stang until the recent 5.0.

There are also a lot of 3 series running around to take away the exclusivity of the M3

:iagree: and in fact, one can buy a 335i and make it nearly as fast.

DarkJak 04-21-2012 01:00 PM

Lightly used Cayman or Evora would have the exclusivity.

Can't think of much else that hasn't been mentioned already.

Nice the hear that things paid off. Being in the car market is fun :)

NYBladeZ 04-21-2012 01:17 PM

If I went with a Cayman I'd have to somehow talk the Mrs. into allowing me to get a turbo for it. Cayman = evolution of 911 but Porsche won't admit it.

sfearl1 04-21-2012 01:19 PM

i would get an 09 GTR and put the Alpha 9 package on. more than $50k, but it's exclusive. that's me though.

what about Viper?

b1adesofcha0s 04-21-2012 01:23 PM

Yup I would go with the Cayman or the Lotus. I got to ride in a Cayman S at an autocross once and it was pretty awesome

Lotus :yum: i think the Evora msrp's at ~$64k...

evora!

Found a serious contender, will let you guys know if I end up getting it. I really appreciate the suggestions. Here's my list of potential purchases as I thought of them and rejected many.

1) Z06: Easy to fall in love with the power but I can't get over the build quality. Banks don't like it much either.
2)Viper: If it was the new new new one, I'm in but that's not possible. I drove one a looooong time ago, before the newer 600hp. Its a psycho car but I will never be able to get the most out of it. Damn wide as well.
3) 911 Turbo: The ones in my price range scare the hell out of me because I really want one and they are really awesome but no warranty and more than "slightly" used are not helping.
4) M3, a great overall car, but I loved the e46 M3 so much and never got one, the e92 doesn't give me the same feeling. On a personal note, I spent so much time with the Z striving to chase and surpass an m6 e92 M3, I feel weird about it. Still its high on the list of candidates.
5) Boxster S: What a great car!
6) 1M: Wow, but the looks are ehhh, the most n/a feeling turboed car I've ever driven.
7) M Roadster: with the heart of an e46 M3 this is my current #1
8) Lotus Exige S: My heart is still racing.

This is not as easy as I thought...
