Honestly I'd say RWD is the new "in"...again. Its been a while, but the past few years have brought drifting more stateside and the appeal for RWD has grown.
New technology for power and efficiency in RWD, vs. the past that said we should have a 4 cyl. wash box in FWD have found a medium. It seems like a natural amalgam for the two to meld. I'm all for it, and we'll find that 2400lb RWD 4 cyls. are going to hit the market again with a big impact and more stock HP than we've ever seen before. It may be a day for four bangers again, but nothing will ever beat a 6 or 8 cylinder under the will of your foot. The future is unpredictable. We'll see. |
