infiniti new mid engine concept revealed

Begs the question. Will new Z be mid engined? Plans are in the works for front engine rear drive 200 SX. Will Nissan go up market with a mid engine Cayman beater?

No, this is all Infiniti.
Most likely what we are seeing is a halo car for Infiniti in the early stages. Something which will compete against the Acura NSX, luxury-ish but mid engine and a decent performer. Leaving Nissan with the powerhouse cars, 370z & GT-R.

Doubtful Nissan/Renualt will only build single car on this platform. I think GTR may last a few more model years but we are going to see Z go upmarket. They won't cannibalize 200sx sales with a $30k Z.

R35 GTR will be around until 2018 then the R36 will be introduced
