see i was right. |
If you spec out a 1LT with Z51, Mag Ride, and sport seats it's only $59k! That's a steal! I was expecting that to push $65k

I thought magnetic ride control was part of the Z51 package....

On the C6 it offered a better suspension though |

if the dealers marked up the ZL1, I don't see how they wouldn't markup the new C7. |

Wait a year, and you can probably get in one for invoice. |

I just need the 3LT package. |

the one me and my dad are getting ours from got 4 initial allocations they is asking MSRP. he also has a GM card and i think he gets 1500-3K off with points he has earned |

If you are buying and you are near South Jersey look up Kerbeck. I'm positive they will beat MSRP -- or at least not exceed it.

The C7 will be the replacement for the Z
|
Saw the C7 at Laguna Seca this weekend while at ALMS.
First of all, props to the GT win for the Corvette team. Their 3 car was hauling ***! Love the sound of that beast. Chevy had a booth with a few cars and of course brought the C7. While it's a great looking car for a base model, to me it's just not aggressive enough. I'd have to wait for a Z06 widebody version before I were to buy. But if you're in the market and you were fine with the base C6 looks, then you'll absolutely love this car. It's very mature yet mean looking. We couldn't get too close to the car, but you could still see through the window and the interior looked fantastic!!! Can't wait to start seeing these on the street and I happily await the higher performance versions (strictly for more aggressive looks as this base car will have plenty or performance). |
Matt (MC), congrats on the C7 man. Keeping the GTR-R still? whoever else getting the new C7, congrats on a fantastic machine. How does that 2nd set of rims option works? I never saw that option before your spreadsheet. I would LOVE to buy it. The pricing is very reasonable. I mean, a Nismo Z is about 40K dollars. 10K more, you're getting this beast. I think it'll be a smart decision on my part to kinda sit back and watch how this performs this year. Read up on the reviews and as someone said that I MAY be able to score invoice or invoice + $_____ next year. Also, any glitches should be taken care of by next year. I'm curious to see what Nissan has in the bag for the Z. If it's a turbo 4 cylinder or hybrid etc, Nissan will lose my money bc I'm a n/a man all the way. Those of you who are getting the Corvette C7, please make a thread here bc I want to hear your comparison vs. the Z. Anyone able to score below msrp?
The C7 at NY Auto Show http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...psb4092007.jpg http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps33be3ec1.jpg http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...psbed2a716.jpg :yum: :yum: :yum: :yum: The more I look at it, the more I want it :(. I'm really curious to see how it does. 57% stiffer than C6 and 50 lbs heavier than C6 with more power should be a beast of a car. Quote:
http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...11906666_n.jpg BTW, what's up with the huge fender gap? is that stock suspension or z51 or magnetic ride suspension? I would think z51 or magnetic suspension would be lower. |
What is customer selectable VIN ending? And why is it $5,000!!!!!!

Order got picked up today and is slated for June production

|
no not really. i dont know why i did the most of the other stuff either lol i was just marking out the order # and got black line happy
|
That's awesome, MC.
As most of you probably know by now, I went ahead and got my used C6 Z06. I freaking love this car.

My plan is to drive her, pay her off early, and then see what higher performance trims are offered in the C7 in a few years. |
Loving the vette more and more.

I sat in one at Nashville cars and coffee last saturday. If I get off my duff and upload the pics I will post up here.
I am absolutely sick over this car, and I have never felt this way about any domestic vehicle ever. I have always respected the Vette, but this thing has crossed into the exotic territory with its looks for me. The one I sat in was white with black wheels and red leather interior. Z51 package 3LT. The whole car is just stunning. I was actually almost mad that I had just bought my '13 Z. I will be watching the next couple years very closely to see how they hold up with the new DI setup and overall depreciation and reliability. I would ideally like to pay the Z off and keep it, but I really see this car in my future. And yes, it scrubs out the GT-R completely in my book. |

Me and my dad got a build week on ours. looks like its going to be the week of July 8th

Cant wait to hear your review. The rear is growing on me but im still not sold 100% on it. Reminds me to much of the Camaro which I still care nothing for.

I guess im the only person that think's the current C6 looks better? Granted the C7 interior is 10 times better. this look to much like a viper. IDk maybe in person ill like it
|
I think the C7 looks better in every aspect except from the rear, but even that is growing on me the more I look at it.
|
I can't get past that rear end view. The car looks amazing otherwise interior included which I have never been impressed with. I have not seen one in person so my view on the rear may change.

I think if you pick a color with a lot of contrast it looks good

I dunno still not feeling the rear.
