I'm curious to see how the hybrid vectoring tech is truly going to effect how it handles around a track. You only need to look at something like the top gear laps to see how the specs don't always win. Also, by the corvette rationale, the 911 should be a flop....then again there's a lot in a name. Honda doesn't have the same prestige as Porsche.
Why should the 911 be a flop? It's one of the fastest, most powerful cars on the planet, with 650 horsepower in factory GT2 trim.
Or it's docile, and a GREAT driver's car, with ample power to feel sporty, in the base 911 trim. The 911 has a trim level for every desire. AWD, RWD, N/A, TT, you name it. It's a helluva success, and Corvette has emulated the 911 philosophy.
