An excellent point! If I just believe in my Z, I bet it could have this much horsepower!

3180# 2-seater > 3800# 4-seater

$54.5k base?

New cheaper priced GT500, 3800lb 4 seater > Used 3180lb 2 seater...

I guess, but my Z06 was brand new and I watched them build it, and then I went on a free trip (minus $500 for air-fare and a condo) to Vegas and learned how to drive it.

All so much cooler than the soul-less "well, I went and ordered one, it should be here in 6 weeks" Ford rigamarole.

Over the past however long, we get it bro. You love your corvette and its a superior machine to even the space shuttle. I'm just sick of seeing the same damn posts about it over and over and over and over on this 370Z FORUM. Give it a rest will ya?

All hail corvette. you win. move along.

Which reminds me, I beat a Z06 corvette on the track with a 2800lb 2 seater. 160HP at most, does this mean Nissan 240sx > Used 3180lb 2 seater?

Lug 05-26-2012 02:37 AM

numbers huh? ok....

662 hp > 505 hp

631 tq > 470 tq

203 MPH > 195 etc...etc....etc......
Plus, the GT500 can carry more groceries and 2 extra hot chicks! I assume Z06 owners can only handle 1 hot chick at a time.....pity. :(

A-effin-MEN bro. I'd probably donate a kidney for this thing.

chris410 05-26-2012 04:52 AM

I sold my Z and just picked up a 2010 Gt500 loaded and with only 9k miles. I love this car, it is not the fastest, most refined...etc...but it does one thing perfectly, it is damn fun to drive. There is always something faster, sometimes it is us and sometimes a Bugatti rolls up LOL

ImportConvert 05-26-2012 05:07 AM

Meh, one is a helluva muscle car, one is helluva sports car, but I like my 370Z quite a bit obviously. Sounds like a few people are on the rag, oh well. Not my problem :)

I bought a Z06 over the GT500, and a 370Z over a 5.0. What can I say? raw numbers < what I enjoy most = sports car.

I still think GM is only worried about the gt500/camaro, corvette is a different product.

I was just yanking your chain, the Z06 is simply one of the greatest sports cars of this era. Well, except for the not carrying two extra hot babes part. :D

Sibze 05-26-2012 10:48 AM

I would agree with import. The Vette is a totally different car to the GT500.

I don't think Ford has come out to beat the Vette with the Z06... It's just like people trying to compair the GT500 to the GTR. Again, different car

Everyone is just gunning to out do the Prius in 0-6mph acceleration. So far none have succeeded.

Only the next gen Prius can best that performance.

Quality over quantity. If you're still going to quantity over quality, it's probably because you're used to the kinds of women who can be picked up in a mustang, and quantity's all they've got. :roflpuke2:

Back on track, all car companies make good and bad cars. I'm no brand whore, i like at least one vehicle from most to all brands.

The car that impressed me.most was my '88 5.0. It had sat in a yard for a year, and still, every electronic in it worked, and the interior was flawless, no dash cracks, etc. Horrible porno red interior, though, lol

First car was a fiero. second was a le sabre. Not gonna lie, the fiero will always hold a special place in my heart but keeping either of those two cars running was an arduous task. They both had major design flaws and reliability issues. the difference was, when i had it running, the fiero was fun.

I picked up a 2010 GT500 which has 540hp and it pulls like an freight train, I would love to get my hands on a 2013, Ford really honored Shelby with this one.

One big issue is traction, the magazine numbers are based off run flat tires which do nothing but spin so, on a sticky tire even stock the new stang will cut 10's just as mine will go low 11's. In a way, I like because if you look at the numbers for my car it appears to be slow, mine from a roll have the WTF just happened capability. I was skeptical at first because the Z on paper looks to be just as fast but when the tires hook it is pretty impressive. I love the Z, it will always have respect in my book.

Almost there, almost there.

Lemers 05-28-2012 01:09 AM

Nice video, but I with they would have done more comparison between the Shelby and boss.
