Yeah they switched to an aluminum block in 2011 which took about 100-150 lbs off the front end. The 2011 is about 10 seconds faster around VIR than the 2010.

ahhh, totally forgot about that, however, generally speaking, iron block motors can hold sick levels of boost more safely compared to aluminum blocks so if one wanted to build a straight line car then....
