its the small engine size + high rev
ever heard a sport bike before? (the bike revs to 12k + the engine is small 1000cc or 1.0 liter.. our z has 3700cc or 3.7 liters) sound frequency (pitch) depends on how fast the object vibrates. faster the vibration, higher the pitch hope this answers your question notice: the higher he revs his engine the higher the exhaust pitch. F1 cars can reach 15k! wow xd
