Default short ram intake + muffler delete, sound question

Well after waiting 3 weeks (I was quoted no more than 5 business days when I ordered it) for my Berk cbe and hfc's to ship I finally gave up and canceled my order. Now I'm looking at the aam s-line short tail axle back exhaust. Essentialy its a muffler delete. I also am interested in installing a short ram intake. My question is this, with the muffler delete. Will I be able to hear the intake at all or would I be wasting My time and money by getting the intake. My main goal is sound. I know neither of these mods net much if any power gains.

id pass on the short ram intakes, they will most likely lose power. and the exhaust is a better sounding option anyway

If your just looking for sound....
Get the AAM Mufflers delete
And get any SRI

but you will lose power..
First, Muffler delete will decrease back pressure.
second, SRI will suck hot air..

but who cares, you said ur looking for sound only

I doubt you'll be able to hear the intakes with the muffler delete.

I have the JWT short ram and a muffler delete. As far as the sri's being able to be heard... that is a definite not lol.. the exhaust is ungodly loud and you won't be able to hear the intake unless you have much better hearing than I do lol.

The SRI's have shown gains and losses on different people's vehicles. Personally I couldn't tell you if mine lost or gained power other than my butt dyno which says I have gained a little power. As far as sucking in hot air... when I am moving my IAT's are between 10-15 degrees higher than ambient temp and I don't even have the heat shields installed. I'm not sure how much over or under the ambient temp the long-tubes bring in but 10-15 degrees above really isn't bad.

3 weeks

That's too bad, Berk is one of the best sounding exhaust out there

BERK Catback Exhaust System installs/reviews

PS- I waited about 9 months and it was worth it in the end.

Yeah, I think any of us who have ordered Berk or Fast Intentions did some waiting along the lines of a couple months or more 9 months Holliday! That's patience!). Worth it if it's what you want!

Thank you everyone for saving me the intake costs. I think I'll just leave the stock system be.

Yup. Four month wait for mine. But knowing what I know now... I'd wait four more.
I almost cancelled my order a week before it shipped. Im glad I waited. This is the best sounding/looking set up for our cars IMO.

I thought they had gotten better with their customer service.
