There have only been a few times where I could feel a noticable difference over the bumps with the 5.0 vs. my 370. The road would have to be really bad... so bad that you wouldn't be driving fast on it in any car.

The difference really isn't that big.

Like I've said a few times before, not all IRS is created equal. Ever compare the Z to the Cayman S? There's quite a big difference in how the two cars perform over uneven surfaces.

The whole lay-out of the Cayman is different.

As to bad roads, I live in Louisiana. We have lots of them.

Right. But you can still pinpoint areas in the suspension where the Z doesn't do it quite as well as the C.

Hell compare the Camaro SS to the 5.0. The 5.0 handles way better even over choppy roads.

I guess the 1/4 ton difference is made manifest...

As to Porsche vs. the Z, they are just totally different setups. Everything about them.

Right. But per Nissan the Z is intended to take on the C.

By the numbers, it does. There is more to the driving experience than numbers, though.

I understand that. But if Nissan is telling me, "hey, buy this instead of the C" I want to see how it stacks up...

Worst state in the nation. I drove through on my way to Texas a number of years ago (in a Mustang GT, no less) and hated every second of it. The roads. The people. The smells. I couldn't wait to

I think I went south on 55 and then west on I-10.
