Default Porsche Cayman

Hello again everybody,
Its been a long, long time since i have posted on here, hope everybody is doing well!

Anyway, I am still enjoying my 2009 Monterrey Blue 370Z with the polished aluminum wheels. However, I am thinking seriously about trading it in for a Porsche Cayman. Was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the Cayman or if anybody has had one or driven one.

Thanks, and I am looking forward to your comments.

Mike

The car is well received here. It costs 50% or more. You will also get hammered on the trade in with your Z.

Test drive the Cayman and figure out if it's worth it to you.

For some people it will be, for other it won't.

Funny timing. I have been looking at them myself. I decided on the 370z (which has more horse power btw) but now with the awful tragedy in Japan- Im not sure they will fill orders. I'm waiting a week or so to see if any news develops. If not I might buy a used Cayman.

Smile Porsche

I would consider a used Carrera or Boxter.

My big boss bought a Cayman. If he ever sold

that would be a solid choice.

If I could afford a Porsche, I'd be driving one.

Good luck and don't forget pics.

I agree, I would not even consider a Cayman unless it is the S. While the base Cayman has impeccable manners, fit, and finesse, it would be a step down from the Z in my opinion.

Agree with the Cayman S as a Cayman is a performance step downwards (quality step up obviously). The S is a mild step above the Z in performance NUMBERS, but a huge step in finesse and quality. The old "Caymans/Boxsters aren't Porsches" arguement is tired and stupid. The Cayman would trounce a 911 if they'd just give it the same engine.

If you have the cash, go for a test drive. There are good deals on used Cayman S's all over the place too.

Honest, never buy sports car USED.

If you cant afford, get a Cayman. If you have money, go with S.

Nothing wrong with a used sports car as long as you do your due diligence and get the right one.

Why do you say that? Is it because the 370Z would be alot faster/quicker than a base Cayman?
