Well, because fashion and function don't always marry up when it comes to wheels. If it was all about performance, would anyone put 20" Vossen's on a 370Z? Of course not, but then everyone would be riding lightweight 18's everywhere.

I like the SpecV rims. I love that MC doled out the extra cash for the black edition. It looks incredible.

i think the premium wheels have a more classy look to them.. and they are great

i always defend the specV wheels by saying im a huge NISMO fanboy and its cool to have the same wheels as ..well this

by only a little.. i think total weight savings of all 4 are 3.5-4 lbs..

they are more rigid though

the stock wheels are already suuuuper light (the new 2012 "premium" wheels are even lighter than the 09-11 R35's) so any weight savings, especially while raising the strength of them, is significant
