I'm sure the new BOSS 302 will be a COMPLETELY different animal and probably put the Z to shame, but even though we lack almost 100hp to the GT the Z is still awesome in it's own right.

The GT doesn't match the feel of the Z in any respect... it's not a sports car, plain and simple. If you want the sports car feel... Z all the way. If you want muscle with lots of room to improve... GT for sure.

My problem is I want them both and at this time I can't have them both... and as diehard a Ford guy I am I don't know if I'm willing to part with the Z so I can get into the GT.

But damn I hate the VQ... I want more power.
supercharge the z. you then get the sporty feel and handling, in addition to the raw power and muscle. then you wont think twice about the mustang

He is waiting to see the results on that, things are a bit early for most to jump on the forced induction route currently.

Assuming everything works out with the GTM and Stillen kits over the next few months (and I still have the Z) I will be supercharging. But get this through your thick little skull... I will never stop thinking about the Mustang.

I dont see where everyone says the 5.0 is faster. I have race one with my stock Nismo 4 times. Won each race by about a 1 1/4 car length.

Was the other car booted? jk, racing is always more about the driver than the vehicle, though.

in lieu of not stirring the pot a few months back i chose not talk about all the runs I had with my Bro in laws 5.0 at car days at our Air Force base...stock for stock, especially on rolls i was never blown away, never got more than a single car on me, and the higher the roll, the closer i was...like i said from a dig they can be pretty nasty in the right hands but there is allot of hype surrounding this car. The meat of the owners arent getting this amazing fantastic times. Infact my friends with LS1 have been beating them mod for mod...I was also shown some vids on youtube where the 5.0 loses to LS1...faster than the Z, yes i would say so...but its no where near the legendary percieved status this car has gotten. Great car dont get me wrong but you will be suprised.
