I really can't wait for ZDayZ next year. This thing is going to be a blast on The Dragon and it will tear up the Cherohala Skyway. :D

Only because i owned one in the past, and i doubt more HP will convince me to go back. I think right now for me i would be happy with a 135i at or around 450wheel. For the price range i cant think of anything else new i would rather have, ok maybe STI/EVO but the interiors are worse than the stang lol. If I was buying used give me a 996tt or a 997tt

if it was me, i'd go for the gtr. either that or an m3 or lotus exige.

No way in hell would I ever buy an Exige. Not for a daily car anyways. :icon17:

Vegitto-kun 09-08-2010 02:32 PM

The GT-R is a nice daily driver my parents drive it every day.

hell they once drove from belgium to spain and back

2000ish miles in total.

1000 to spain and 1000 from spain.

man, over here the sti sport tech and evo gsr are even more than the touring z without sport package. heck, the evo mr is almost the same price as a 335i coupe!!! :eekdance::eekdance::eekdance:

GZ3 09-08-2010 02:46 PM

well congratz guys, the 5.0 is one helllava car. the 370z is no slouch on the staright line though, 12.6 with bolts on stock tires so far from just this site. all am waiting for is mototrdyne to get off thier arse so i can buy thier bolts on and secure my place as fastest NA Z! if everything goes well with buisness too, I will wait for the C7 Vette.....btw MODSHACK...what do you do for a living?

The 370 definitely is no slouch. 12s with bolt ons is very impressive for the 3.7L.

Not to be a d-bag... but I was just reading a thread on a Steeda 5.0 with 3.73 gear, Nitto drag radials, front sway bar removed, and a CAI and 93 octane tune... 11.9 @ 116!

Watched some clips.

it does sound nice. V8s ARE my favorite in terms of noise, V6 generally are not loud enough, V10-12 are too screamy. V8 is deep and throaty.

Even when Ford were producing crappy built, slow arse mustangs, the v8 at least sounded right.

I think it sounds OK stock, but I still think its entirely too tame for the beast beneath the hood, which is why I ordered the Magnaflow muffler deletes, i swear my neighbors are going to hate my guts when I leave for work in the morning, just listen to these things:

m4a1mustang 09-08-2010 03:17 PM

That's too crazy for me. :icon17:

Can't watch the vid at work, but I'm well familiar with what Magnaflow can do with a v8. My dad's Suburban can be heard approaching from 2 blocks away, even if it's comfortably cruising.

I say go for it! Why not get a loud, in-yo-face exhaust for the stang? They're meant to be nasty.

m4a1mustang 09-08-2010 03:20 PM

I'm looking at the Bassanis and Borla Touring and S-Type.

That doesn't sound nicee at all.

I mean it is brutal but it is too loud.

I thought my pre-LTH exhaust was loud.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWChSf8WTF4

but that is so loud is such a different level that I want it for some reason :roflpuke2:

Red370 09-08-2010 03:35 PM

who wants to drive a quiet V8? definitely not this guy, I want people to KNOW the 5.0 is back  I hate my neighbors anyways :)

m4a1mustang 09-08-2010 03:35 PM

Haha... I just want a good sound for a daily driver. Nothing too loud. The FI 18" CBE was a little too loud for my tastes even.

the cold start on that thing is enough to wake the dead, i'm giddy like a effin schoolboy, unfortunately they are on back order until the 12th, so it'll probably be a few weeks before I get them :(

Vegitto-kun 09-08-2010 03:37 PM

wow if that is too loud why even get a other exhaust haha.

Just unbolt the mufflers in the mean time. :icon18:

of course i'll keep the mufflers if it gets to be a bit much, i'm just tired of all the Camaro douches around here with their screamin' ass loud exhausts, I gotta match or surpass, and I believe that goal will be achieved:tup:

You'll like the Bassani's then.....Very nice. Removed the sound tube and it's just a perfect blend of engine and exhaust with no drone or obnoxiousness...I really like them and I didn't want "loud"....

Nice. They are at the top of my list.

What's the sound tube mod anyways?

Ford stuffed some sound deadening material into the sound tube, you can pull one out from the engine bay, as well as the one down in the foot well.

Every redneck in town...Mustang, Camaro, and Pick-up truck sounds that way....I went for the more sophisticated sound.... Very Euro without screaming that "I'm 20 years old and want to offend you!" (cause I'm not...but that's me....I'm old!)

I just removed mine completely to balance the sound. Inside is civilized, outside is aggressive when I get on it..

speaking of sound tube, which tune did you go with to go along with your Steeda intake? I'm hearing that Brenspeed is having idle issues, I'm leaning more towards Evo Performance or a basic Jon Lund tune.

I just removed the whole thing. Plugged the port at the Steeda, and put a plug in the firewall...Gone!

I experimented a bunch before doing this...Removing the foam plugs etc. I like it better now with it gone.

That's my style, too. I like a refined, highly tuned sound. :driving:

I have decided to start saving up money.

I found a company that imports them here. going to ask for a quote and see what they ask for the import
