A 10 speed AT??? Is it secretly a performance CVT or something? That's a lot of gears to play with for a ride to the grocery store...

Unfortunately cars today are sold based on amount of cameras and amount of gears in the AT. The more, the better. Most buyers no longer care about the engine, steering feel, etc.

I read about a survey recently sent to BMW drivers and the majority of them had no idea what engine (amount of cylinders and size) their car had!

Weren't they the car manufacturers who got rid of oil dipsticks?

If so, not being sure about the engine, or even where the engine is hiding under all the plastic shrouds, isn't that surprising...

Ha.... you rested my case on electric steering and handbrake rants. That's why I see our current Z's as the best cars on the road. Real handbrake. Real feedback, real handbrake. Real handling capability.

No assistance, no ********. VDC for stability under harsh conditions. Awesome car. I'd love to see Nissan with a new design, new engine, flatter stock handling, but everything that made this Z hot.

I do, and I still don't necessarily want as many gears as I have fingers...

So I was reading about the Toyota Mirai just because I am an inquisitive guy and found some interesting tidbits that MAY be of great benefit to the upcoming Supra and GT86.

On the flip side, if Toyota were making their own carbon fiber, why the hell don't they use it in the Lexus RC-F???
