I love that concept, too, but subsequent articles in MT have hinted that Toyota will instead make a joint venture sports car with bmw, based on their next Z4. So it will likely be smaller and less powerful than the ft1.

I'm still holding out hope, tho. The ft1 as the next supra would be amazing.

I think this sketch has been floating around for some time. I don't think they will make it, but if they do.... I will buy a GTR.

Toyota and Honda. Always referencing their Supra and NSX and bandying about concepts. It's like that pussy who always walks away limping saying "You just wait until I see you again..." and you always beat him down the next time, too. They aren't going to do anything. Look how long it took them to come out with the BRZ---a $25K 4-cylinder.

Loved that Toyota FT-1 concept at first sight. Not surprising, since it looks a lot like the new Alfa 4C, which I also loved at first sight.

Not holding my breath though. I expect this car, if produced, will run north of $70k.

Jay Leno covered it and even drove it on the road recently: Toyota FT-1 Concept - Jay Leno's Garage - YouTube

Yep anyday now.... Nothing like a car manufacturer who targets raisins (old people) talking about bringing back their 90's flagship sports car to stir up some gossip and brand faith in 2014.
