What's different is the Grand Sport has a standard corvette engine which makes it 200lbs lighter and not as front heavy. The GS has a different tune on the GS giving it +5HP/+10lb tq. But feels a lot different from the stingray based on how it's geared as well. So it feels like a naturally aspirated Z06 instead of a Stingray.
It's a better balanced car for the track and it's --$13,000 cheaper than a Z06. All this I wrote are in the posted articles. The difference is the GS comes standard with the NPP exhaust. HP on the GS vs a stingray with NPP option equals the same HP rating. You are right about the gearing though, which does improve butt dyno feel as well as track numbers. |
