Look I'm not saying the Genesis is a better car, let alone a better sports car than the Z. All I'm saying is it's close. And for the $ and my current type of it's better than my 370. They still have a few hills to climb to be on par with a Z, but again, they've come a long way in a very short time.

- it can use a better stock anti-roll set up.

If Nissan would fix these 3 things and keep the prices the same? The Z would be perfect at its price point.

To raise prices, I'd like them to reduce weight by at least 60lbs and increase power by 20hp.
In turn the Genesis needs to shed 100 pounds, gain 20hp/tq and get a MUCH better anti roll platform.

The 2 seat platform will always have the advantage. You can fit adults 5'8 and under in the back with legroom for a 6ftr. Unless the back gets BRZ small? The gencoupe will never handle like a Z.
The hyundai has too many limitations in the ECU for the gencoupe to get to Z levels as well. No DRM on the auto takes away from the shifting experience. No SRM. It has some ways to go to get close to a Z. But it begs the question...
Is it worth getting a G37s, if all you're needing, is solely performance? Not everyone needs such a luxed out cabin like the G or BMW 3 or 4 series. The gencoupe holds a beautiful position in the market.

No argument here. I did and do love the intimacy of the 2 seat sports coupe, especially the Z. Has a better "connection " than other two seaters I've driven. That being said, I've stated in other threads, for the $50k my friend plopped down a IS 350 FSport, my $32k Genesis doesn't fall short in most areas and exceeds them in many others. The Genesis isn't a sports car, like the Mustang isn't either. It's a Grand Tourer, the Z is a sports car. If I still wanted the sports car stuff and all it offers, bad and good, I'd have kept it. But for me, now, here, the Genesis is exceeding my expectations.

I like it LOL. If I wasn't driving a 370, I would probably be in the Gen coupe.

Every car company started somewhere and I'm astonished how far Hyundai has come in so short of a time. The tech, the luxury, the Z can't even come close.
