Nissan GTR question.

As far as I know, the major issue with the GT-R is that if you use the launch control you voided the warranty on the trans -- a few folks must have broken theirs.

Don't know if they amended that or not, but considering you can buy about 3 Z's for 1 GT-R, if something goes wrong, and the warranty won't cover it, I expect if you can afford a GT-R in the first place, you can afford to fix it...

And if you can't, save the money, and just buy two Z's so you always have a spare on hand

I know you have been around GTR's for a while. Are they as rock solid as the older Z's? I expect to get to 100-120K miles with very little maintenance. Just the services, 15K, 30K, etc. That's what I am use too.

sort of uncharted waters with that much mileage on these cars. I had a friend who just sold his 09 with 93K miles on it. it had a few warranted replacements including a transmission and a few other things but it seemed to fair well. most have considerably less mileage

That's not too bad. Get the GTR folks to drive those things LOL. Not a good clear picture on the tranny issue. I beat they would do well if you don't beat the crap out of them. Some folks can demolish an anvil.
