See, now if we ever get to meet, I'll let you hear my exhaust and I get to see how the Varis looks in person

haha should be here beigning of the new year

and i grew impatient so i just purchased the exhaust this morning hahaha

MB37 12-12-2013 02:27 PM

Haha, I would've done the same thing. You'll love it =D The only thing for me is when you first start it up in the morning. It is extremely loud for about 10-20 secs, then comes back down. But once it warms up, I can't even hear it inside the house with the garage door closed.

CarbonFZ 12-12-2013 02:41 PM

Good I guess? Haha my short tail are super loud in the morning haha

Im pretty sure thats due to the electronic choke altering the Fuel/air ratio and idle in an attempt to help the motor warm up and to use a big word is ubiquitous. Makes the car sound mean, unfortunately unless you want to starve your engine of oil flow you shouldnt get the rpms very high at all when the oil is cold.

Tempestz 12-12-2013 04:19 PM

What did you guys end up paying for the motor dyne? I have a friend that can get me a hookup for 1625 shipped. just wondering if that seems like a good deal or not… everywhere i see it, it seems to be 1700. But awesome!! two guys with Motordyne! I can't wait to hear that. in my opinion it is the sexiest sound. then GTHAUS is the most exotic. I miss that setup… Damn you Dave...

Looks awesome ! It does improve the looks of the front bumper with those running lights. I am not a fan of those lights, but looks good with this lip.

That goes without saying for any car with or without an aftermarket exhaust. I never rev it any higher than 3500K until the oil hits 190 or 180 according to our miscalcuated oil temp gauage. :tiphat:

You should "will call" it and drive to SoCal and pick it up, save you about 3-5 days in shipping transit.

Thanks for the welcome, Cb. Been lurking for a while since my Z was mostly a weekend car until lately. Sold my pickup, and now the Z is moving towards daily status.

More on me: I'm from the old Honda camp, when street/drag racing was emerging to popular status. Went through a couple "grown up" cars since then but ultimately missed the driving experience and wanted a RWD this time. Still stock, I've taken the Z to Thunder Hill, but I only really like going straight. I'll be focused more on Sac Raceway in the days to come, so I'll be very interested when anyone wants to head out to the track on a Weds night.

Feeler for a RUN - Jan 14, 2014

Hey guys, sending this out to get a feel if anyone would be interested in attending this Run put on by BayZa group on FB. Looks like they are making a Sac meet/cruise. Yep that's right the Bay Area is coming to Sac. We should make a good representation since they are coming from a great distance.

What do you guys think? If interested I will start a list and maybe I can ask CB to post it on page 1 of this thread.

Cut copy details from FB on the run.

When: Jan 11, 2014 (disregard the incorrect date on the subject line, it is Jan 11 not the 14th)

Where: meetup in Folsom (see below details). Although we could meet else and caravan into the meet n greet.

******************* From the post on FB **************

historic folsom light rail station & sutter st (nb) folsom, Ca, united states

Trying to host Sacs first Z meet/cruise. Well be meeting in the parking structure in Old Folsom, cruise through Old Folsom then head out to Salmon Falls (a nice twisty road). Dates are flexible so let me know if its not the best time for you and ill try to schedule it to fit everyones agenda. Any questions PM me or Daniel Blodgett.

schedule for the day:
11:00-12:30 We are going to meet up at the parking garage listed and wait for everyone to show up before we head out for the cruise. If your going to be l...ate just send me a text at 818-212-9013 with an ETA and we will be sure to wait for you.

12:30- We will be starting the cruise. We will leave the parking structure and head to Salmon Falls Road, Pilot Hill, CA. From there we will head north until salmon falls road ends then jump on highway 49 north until we get to the I80. After we will head west towards Roseville where we can stop and eat somewhere (I will update with a location to eat soon) or if your ready to go back home your already on the freeway so it will take you to the 5 or 99. The route is a total of 47 miles and should take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours to complete

Half way through the cruise where salmon falls road runs into highway 49 there is a little bar to the right on the corner with a large parking area. We will stop there for a little bit and regroup to make sure everyone's there before we go on.

This route has some very twisty sections so know your limits and don't try anything beyond your experience as a driver. There is usually very little to no traffic on salmon falls but does have a few bicyclists, (I ran into only one during my test run of the route) be respectful and slow down for them until you safely pass them. Highway 49 does have very minimal traffic and slower drivers usually pull over to let the faster ones go around them.

BayZa meet and cruise Jan 11, 2014

Here is the recent post on FP from Hunter after I joined the event for Jan 11.

"Hunter Switzer: That's cool all Zs are welcome I just hope it's not The same group of Z34s that where being super disrespectful on the sacramento g and z page."

I wonder who that would be ?

Here is our chance to make good on our efforts in making this a great group. Just sayin....
