Great job Ruben for putting this together ! It was great meeting everyone and breakfast was yummy. A good bunch of Z enthusiasts, I enjoyed the day ( a bit cold at 41 degrees) but the excitement of the event took the bite off the cold. Thank you for the invite and can't wait for the next event. :tiphat:

Great photos Kevin, I have the same shots and yours look much better. You must have been standing behind me because I swear we took the same photos. With that said, it would be redundant for me to upload the same photos (plus Kevin's are much better).

Thanks again guys !

The part I like best is how my question about the legitimacy of a charity event gets no attention, but a dyslexic *** post about wood stickers gets massive comments and likes...

Thanks Ken, funny thing is I did not intend to park in the front row, but all the spaces were taken up around you guys and someone said "why don't you park in the front row. Did not know how much attention the Z was getting.....it had to be the parking spot.

This was the first event for the new transformed Z with a wide variety of personal tastes in types of cars I was amazed at all of the looky-lou's and to get compliments from the euro-guys was a treat in itself.

6 months of planning and staging all the correct pieces for the theme and then 4 weeks off and on with the body shop , I could not be more pleased with the out come and special attention to all of my maticulous details, they completed all of my requests. I have to thank Endless AutoBody and Fly1 Motorsports - Lohit for taking my ideas and making alternate suggestions and playing a big part in the look of the Z. :tiphat:

Kevin it was great meeting June and Dave your family -Alice and Jaedon, along with Ruben's son -Kaedon...sorry I probably mis spelled their names.

Great times and thanks for the kind words, it means a lot when I have modded the car and someone else likes the outcome as much as I do.

Until the next run......did I mention run? ...hint...hint.. Yeh the Z may look like a show car but my true passion is organizing runs ! I may throw out something for an interest check in the next week or so.. :tiphat:

So....received some bad new yesterday from Tire Rack. My Michelin Pilots Super Sport 285/35/19 which were on backorder since Sept, now has been updated to an indefinite ETA.

I have to either go with the same I am currently running -RE-11's 265/35/19 and 285/35/19. I have the option of going with Michelin Pilot Sport PS 2 or Potenza S-04 or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. Decisions...decisions :ugh2:

Here is the link with my options.

Chris, welcome. When are the new wheels going to arrive? Your white Z is pretty clean. I liked the old wheels you had on with the other black body parts.

Checked discounttiredirect yet? If you can find a way to stay with the PSS I think they do have the best grip in dry and wet of any street tire out there. Nothing in the snow tho, that's for sure.

I have the potenza S-04 on my fronts, and they are great tires, but compared to the RE-11 they aren't up to par. they are very sticky it takes a lot to get them to squeal like little piggies. and they do last a lot longer than the RE-11. but IMHO I would either stick with the RE-11 for good traction purposes or try for the michelin. I have also used the Ventus V12 and I really like them as well, they are about on par with the S-04. If i had the money, I would choose either RE-11 or Michelin. probably the best tires for the money.

NINJA 12-10-2013 11:42 AM

Bout time you popped over to the 370 club Chris. You won't find any 4 door sedans over here. Your car is tastefully done, really liked it with those bronze forgestars. Hopefully you'll be able to make it to our next meet. Maybe karting in Fairfield. See if Tempest can back up his talk...

Called Tire Rack and they do not make the RE-11A (99W) in 265/35's and the old 98W (RE-11) they are out of.. S04's were rated better than Pilot PS2's only Michelin in stock that is not being discontinued or on back order while they re-tool for the tire at mfg.

Sorta sux with my tire size needs, that the biggees are re-tooling and no ETA or a date given of 1/3/14 for my Pilot SS 285/35's. Do not and cannot wait until then and they will probably do the same like they did two times prior and give a date and then that the date comes around they move it out further. Waiting since Sept.

So I ordered the S04's 265/35 & 285/35. I was gonna go AGAIN with the RE11's since I could not get Pilot SS, but that failed of course - murphy's law.

Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it .:tiphat:

Awesome! And your welcome. I think you will be happy with the S04. Especially if your not tracking your car a lot, they will e perfect. Plus they will last you a lot longer than the RE11. I look forward to hear your review of them.

ValidusVentus 12-10-2013 06:54 PM

Just a semi random comment here about tires. Seems from my experience that almost every time you try a new tire it seems better than what you just got off of. Of course its very rare that you move to a different tire that you know going into it, is going to be worse but I think a large part of this is that street tires go through so many heat cycles that by the time you replace them their grip levels are much lower than whey were when you installed them and the change has been so slow and gradual that its impossible to notice. Anyway, just thinking in text here.

Yup, that be me, thanks I am very pleased with how the Z turned out. David and Ed are top notch, also both are car enthusiasts and that helps when I turned over my Z to them. They took extra care and paid attention to the small details. I missed meeting you when you were at Endless, got there right after you left.

I considered new wheels, lasted about half a second. The sport wheels are some of the best looking oem wheels, you would think they were after market, and to top it off they are light weight Rays, so I asked myself "why swap em out when I have cool wheels to start with"... Now to personalize them I had them powder coated and had the calipers powder coated and the result is one siq looking wheel and to top it off I did not have to spend 4 grand. :p

You waiting on the works wheels ? Those will be siq, anything by works is siq :tiphat:

How are the spats holding up and your side blades? David at Endless was gonna replace the screws on the blades to secure it better. Did he do yours ?

Cant wait to see your build.
