I checked SPL, Whiteline, and Energy, plenty of stuff for 350Z, but limited for Z34 bushings. The SPLs are metal racing bushings and Whiteline just has rear diff bushings in urethane. Guess we'll have to wait for Energy to catch up... if ever : (

Yes, you would be running 195 and its in minimum operating temps of oil from 190-210.

Curtis, im not sure if your joking around or being serious but i would ask that you keep your pessimism to yourself or at least make it constructive. Before this thread the Sac 370 crowd was pretty much dead since 2010. we have made it into a decent following and continue to make it grow with several meets and runs within the last 6 months. Im not saying I run this set but i have ran a decent following in the past (as you know) and I know drama kills. I'm happy to take this offline if you want and i speak for myself at this point. I look forward to great relationships with everyone here.

You know Cb, I support what were trying to keep going here and I just wanted to express that I appreciate the time you take to setup events and the responsibilities you take on to make sure everyone is included and has a good time.
We are a growing family of many different types of people that require different things from the group. I'm really just here for Z and related- and for people who share the same interests. I think we all have something to offer here and I really enjoy interacting with other people that think about the same stuff that I do, like CAIs, CBEs, HFCs and maybe even a FILTH... I'm sure everyone has been there and done that to some degree, but I'm glad that we can still take the time out to meet and have a great time, no matter how dysfunctional we may seem on the boards : )

Tempestz 11-27-2013 08:29 PM

No problem Dave. Anytime any of you have some projects you need to do on your cars, I can get you on base so we can use the lifts and tools there. It's only $8.00 an hour to rent the lift and tools. And they have everything you could need.

Cbtech 11-27-2013 09:21 PM

^^ that's an awesome deal the bases do. My father in law told me about that in Florida. They even had a welder you can use

yup!! no welder on this one though… they took it away for liability reasons…

Ruben, my sincere apologies.

To anyone on these last few pages of topic. If I offended anyone then please accept my apologies.

My intro into this thread gave a bad impression. I know I came away thinking "why did I do that?"

I really am a nice guy.

If anyone feels they would be uncomfortable with me attending Shriners, then speak up and I will gracefully step aside and give up my spot.

You all are great bunch of Z enthusiasts ! :tiphat:

Peace Out
Curtis

NINJA 11-27-2013 10:24 PM

I had sex with CBs mom in the sporting goods section of Walmart (she was on her lunch break). And he wasn't offended. So you're probably good ZForce. I got no problem with ya.

It's all good ZF, we can all take it as much as we give it... boys will be boys :eekdance: After all you paid your dues in the Z community- I've checked out some of your threads... you've put plenty of time in! I'm glad to have a dyed-in-the wool Z guy such as yourself on our team!!!

Fresh meats arrived this afternoon from Tire Rack. I don't know about you guys who are running the Potenzas that come factory on the sport package, but mine feel like driving on hockey pucks after the car has been sitting on cold pavement once we head into winter.

what did you end up getting from tire rack and how much? i need new back tires bad

ValidusVentus 11-28-2013 02:00 AM

well... fuk. When I got those new tires 2 weeks ago my rears actually had prolly more than half their life left despite my sliding around quite a bit right before I got the new ones... due to the bad alignment I got a while back I was down to the threads on the fronts.... I will call the dealership to see if they trashed em yet if you want CB, all 4 tires still had hair on them lol. They were Mich PSS, only 275 rears tho.

If you are in the morket for new tires btw, the Continental Extreme contact is a solid upgrade from the stock potenzas and arent too expensive, the Mich PSSs are the best tire Ive used but tend to be $$ tho I think they are still giving out a $70 mail in rebate on either tirerack or discounttiredirect for a set of 4 Mich.

Ill deff take the rears if they still have them VV. I did that canyon run and only noticed AFTER we were done that they were so crazy bald. :eekdance:

I wound up getting a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. They were right around a grand total sized for the sport wheels, and showed up in just two days (shipped from NV). Mich is offering that $70 rebate/visa card when you buy a set.

My brother-in-law recently had an "issue" with a cold and wet 50 onramp at Watt in his S2K and summer tires. He just ordered some Bridgestone RE70s. A little less than the A/S3s, and both are a little less than SSs I think. I hear good things about the Mich SSs, so I'll look to trying those out once this new set burns up.

Lookin good Dave!! get that front fender rolled!!

Tempestz 11-29-2013 04:56 AM

So I picked up my Nismo exhaust last night ($200 from a friend)... now im broken between two choices...

1. AAM midpipe and recieve it next week to put on the car hopefully before we go to the rally for kids.

or

2. pre order the Z1 headers to recieve them early in the spring 2014...

Reguardless of the choice made now, I will order the other one when the funds allow.

any suggestions guys?

myotorsports 11-29-2013 09:47 AM

Get the pipe!

NINJA 11-29-2013 10:21 AM

AAM midpipe! You're matching the nismo axelback to that though?

MB37 11-29-2013 11:05 AM

Midpipe, and save up for the headers later. But damn those headers look seksi!

And you thought rubbing was bad in the canyons with your offset Dave. Wait till you try it out with the swifts =P

thats why you needed to get the Eibachs ;)

SuperDave 11-29-2013 02:40 PM

I'm actually really enjoying the swifts, much better improvement over stock. And even with the small positive offset in the front, they have tucked a little. Another few weeks and I'll do an alignment.

it shouldn't take a few weeks for those to settle. maybe 2-3 days at the most but you should really see about getting an alignment sooner than later.

I personally went with the Eibach springs because I had them with my previous car and they were nothing but money! the springs with the sway bars was the perfect marriage

I like Swifts but the Eibach sway and spring combo seems good bang for the buck.

For how much? Eibachs are like $535 for the combo last time I checked.

I guess that's a good price. Honestly, I do not think too much about the dollars. As I got older (and older) I have adopted the attitude that compels me to buy the best you can get. When I think Eibach, I think big, fat muscle cars for some reason.

onzedge 11-29-2013 05:19 PM

I think the Swift/Koni with Hotchkis sway bar combination is about $1,500.00 US, or so.
