First page post looks great. Thanks for coordinating the meeting spot and times CB. Everyone else, if you haven't looked, GO LOOK. All the logistics are there. We are scheduled to "drive across the finish line" at a specific time to donate toys and take pictures. Also note, this is a rain or shine event, they have a backup plan for the event to be in the parking garage if it is raining (I'm looking at you Ninja...). They also encourage bringing kids if you have em. Let's make this awesome!

Whats up all, was doing some forward looking at track schedules for next year; this is Nasa Norcal's current schedule for next year. Id like to do one or two track weekends before it starts to get hot and am looking at the Feb Sonoma run. I know its fairly close after Christmas but I am going to try to make it happen. Anyone interested? It would be awesome to learn a new track along with one of you guys, plus you always meet some cool people, who knows, might be some other 370Zs there. :stirthepot:

I was actually looking up track days at Thunderhill. Haven't even thought about going to Sonoma. Are these track events a full two day thing? Depending on my work schedule, I can only go either a Sat or Sun, but sadly not both =\

Yea they last 2 days but you can register for either day individually as well (well, on the east coast I know you could register for just Saturday and I am pretty sure just Sunday too). I'm sure I will be going to thunderhill as well this year but Sonoma is pretty close... and we can get some practice in on Forza! Lol

Oh and don't bother looking at any track web pages for accurate schedules... seems like no one ever updates them. Gotta look at the actual racing organizations sites, such as NASA.

Well for Thunderhill I was looking at the Grip Drift Skid group that goes there, but they only have 6 events for next year.

The hooked on driving events are usually accurate. Been to a few of them at Thunderhill. Down for doing one again.

I'd love to go to some of these. I just need to get a better helmet and an oil cooler. ill be ready. keep me updated on the ones you guys go to. ill see if I can get a few more to come out with me too.

Yeah, an oil cooler is on the list for my next mod, but so damn expensive =\ When I find out my schedule in the new year, I'll find out for sure which ones I can go to.

the only thing i would suggest is getting the hoses professionally clamped or prefabbed. Everything works like a charm on mine and you're not spending a ridiculous price on a "brand named" oil cooler kit that does the same sshit as the above kit does.

Yeah you definitely need an oil cooler and better brake fluid and possibly pads. As Feb gets closer I'll be sure to check back in with you all. Its not like we wont be seeing e/o anyway. Anybody else planning on going to any track events or questions or ideas/whatever, let me know. Enjoy Thankgiving! Hopefully you guys get a long weekend. By the way, if the helmet is what holds you back (it is a bit of cash) I have a spare one hardly used that you could barrow. It fits me well, snug but not tight and I wear a 7-1/4" hat (translates to medium/large)

The helmet you need for a track event has to be a snell 2010 approved or higher. Some motorcycle helmets will work. Some are only DOT approved though. So just check it out and see if it's approved.

CB- that oil cooler from race parts warehouse. You just bought the kit and had the fittings crimped and that's all you needed to do? That's an awesome deal

that's actually really good price for a Stillen oil cooler! but I would have to say the kids that I purchased is still a better deal. I paid about $300 for the kit with the 24 Row cooler and sandwich plate. the only thing that I would say would be missing would be the name brand. on the hard canyon run that we had a couple weeks ago the car never got over 220 degrees. save your money and go with the kit that isn't as expensive but still does the same job.

I didn't want to deal with the braided lines on that particular kit so I went with the push fittings. unfortunately something went bad with a push fitting and I had a couple of leaks. So myotor made a custom pair of hydraulic hose lines and fittings that prevent it from leaking now. I'm sure if I went with the braided lines it might have been a different story.
