BTW: you guys are gonna be the first (with the exception of a few people) to see the overnight transformation the Z has transpired into. The new Z will be unveiled on Dec 8 at Shriners, well as early as the pre staging at Circus Pancakes. Onzedge (Donald) has seen it from a distance.

Perfect thanks guys! I will order the AAM mid pipe ASAP. And yes I a matching to the stock Nismo axle back section FOR NOW. I am keeping it this way to see how the combo with the AAM mid pipe and Z1 headers and Z1 test pipes turns out with their Intake manifold mod (the 400hp Package). I don't want the car to be extremely loud just yet. and I have my old Z1 test pipes off my 350 to match the Z1 headers. the axle back choice is still under research, but they made 329 with stock Nismo catback and the 400hp package. so Im curious to see with the AAM mid pipe. Ill be traveling across the country in May to ZdayZ 2014 to participate in it with my brother. so I will have Z1 tune my car then. John at Z1 has tuned some of the most Powerful NA 370Z's in the country.

on another note, I picked up some eibach springs used for 1000mi for $150 so you guys talking about how good they are along with swifts are making me feel better about going with them vs spending the extra 200$ for some swifts. I also picked up some nismo Shocks/struts to be put on sometime next week. Did you guys have to get Camber arms or toe bolts or with your springs?

Thanks for this. I was unsure if it was two days or two weeks. Ill schedule on as soon as I can. And I am with onzedge on this one, the swift / koni combo will be a hard beat!

its a good idea to get the camber arm and toe bolts. some SPL camber kits can be found on amazon and they come with the toe bolt for around 160. Ive mashed on mine a few times quite hard and haven't had any issues.

Tempestz 11-29-2013 09:57 PM

Awesome! thanks, I shouldn't need the front Camber arms, but I will probably get them in the near future anyway.

I hear ya. I’ve grown up on quality not quantity. So I'm not new to the best that I can get. I understand where you are coming from . The Z deserves it. I feel the same way about K&N intakes.

You got the name right ;)

it was nice talking to you as well, Curtis. Im glad we got the air cleared and I appreciate the call. you can now join the circle jerk that is Nick, Ninja and myself...Ninja has soft supple hands and Nick swallows, so you should be good

Tempestz 11-29-2013 11:40 PM

Hmmm, my math may be wrong here but, if Ninja has soft hands, and Nick swallows… what do you contribute to the circle jerk? :leghump: perhaps?

What's wrong with K&N intakes? Decent claimed horsepower gain. No having to remove bumper for install or filter cleaning.

So then why are you not driving a GTR? :stirthepot:

Tempestz 11-30-2013 12:56 AM

Well guys, I got some good/bad news. Good news... I just got orders to go to Hawaii in May 2014, and bad news is, Im only gonna be in cali for another 3-4 months

Because the GTR is an automatic, does too much of the driving for you and has a back seat (usually).

You know you can turn off the driver assists like you can with VDC in ours. S-mode probably doesn't happen when you're driving the Z either.
Yeah, the 2015 Nismo GTR would be absolutely no fun to drive around a race track...
Admit it, you're just scared of all that awesome beastly power.

I am not a fan of $7,500.00 brake jobs every 12,000 miles.

NINJA 11-30-2013 12:33 PM

But they're the best. Quality over quantity remember. Sorry Onzedge, it was this or telling another story about CBs mom.

Congrats on getting a spot like Hawaii. Are you going to ship the Z over there?

3-4 months in Cali means lots of meets and runs to get in before then.

Nothing is wrong with them. I think big, fat muscle cars for some reason when I hear K&N intakes. Removing the bumper is not as hard has people make it out to be.

Perhaps, but they fail to meet the criteria I have set for myself and followed since 1975. The cars I drive have only 2 front seats, are rear-wheel drive and do not have an automatic transmission -- except for my F-150.

ValidusVentus 11-30-2013 05:40 PM

Yeah after taking the bumper off once or twice it takes less than 10 minutes to get it off, maybe a bit more to put it back on cause screwing the other way can be slower maybe..? lol

CB, just called the dealership, they don't have the tires anymore, sorry man.

Not trying to ruin the moment, but I just wanted to let you guys know of the awesome exhaust deal I got today.

This morning I went to the Hobby shop on base to install my Nismo catback, I got it all installed and has and appointment to put an Xpipe in the system cuz the previous owner cut the Hpipe out and made it "true dual." No Bueno in my mind. when I got there (Rob @ Xtreme Xhaust) put the car on the lift and I told and showed him exactly what i wanted, really I just wanted him to put in an Xpipe in the existing pipe. well instead, because of my repititive purchases from him, he ran all new 2.5" pipe for me to match up to the stock flanges. and put in an xpipe and mated it all up to the Nismo Axle back. my impression at first was holy crap this has got to be $400+. after he finished, he told me because of the service and work i have given him in the past year, he did all the work for $100. I was amazed. just wanted to fill you guys in on it. great guy! good work!

just temporary till my AAM midpipe gets here. if you guys need a hook up let me know ill try and get you guys in on it.

Tempestz 12-01-2013 05:32 AM

Edit: Then I added another one. So it was actually 150. My bad. I was looking at it wrong. Sorry about that.

Cbtech 12-02-2013 02:35 AM

So i Just ordered these tires tonight. They seem to be a decent tire and got fairly decent reviews. The irony here is we were just discussing not going cheap and here i go. But i need something and been a little tight the last few months. Myotor looks like im heading your direction some time in the next few weeks :)

SuperDave 12-02-2013 12:51 PM

I don't think you went cheap, those are good tires, with a good price. Let me know if you want two Kumho Ecsta SPT's @ 80% life for the fronts.

Tempestz 12-02-2013 01:42 PM

Guys, if you didn't know already.

Z1Motorsports is absolutely an amazing company.

I called John at Z1 to ask if i actually needed camber arms for my car, I told him I had the Eibach Pro kit, and he said that I should only need the toe bolts to be able to bring the rears back into spec, IF I had a shop that was really good with alignments. So he told me he would take the order, change it, ship it, and put the rest on store credit... What other companies do you know that would do that!? Thats CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Thanks John from Z1!

I also asked about the Z1 headers, and although online for the Black friday sale it says they are for pre-orders, he told me they have some in stock and he would ship them out asap if I wanted to order them as well. I have some thinking to do...
