I guess my tires ran over or past it just a little bit. But here's my question... I'm a new proud owner of a 2010 370Z and I don't have license plates yet. Will they be able to trace the violation to me? I'm worried they might be able to since the registration sticker is visible on the windshield. Any input will be MUCH appreciated. TIA!
I can't answer your specific question, but I did get a camera shot in a rented car and never received a ticket. These guys catch a lot of people, and tracing stuff like this is work, more work than many people will want to invest.

I hope you know that in CA, our plates are sent to us by mail weeks after we purchase/drive the car off the lot, with dealer paper advertisements and a temporary window sticker. In NY as I recall, the plates were put onto the car at the time of purchase.
