Help! Traffic camera got me!

Ok so I was approaching a traffic intersection and I did not notice there were cameras there. I guess my fault was (If I really did do so..) not being able to stop before the pedestrian line. I guess my tires ran over or past it just a little bit. But here's my question... I'm a new proud owner of a 2010 370Z and I don't have license plates yet. Will they be able to trace the violation to me? I'm worried they might be able to since the registration sticker is visible on the windshield. Any input will be MUCH appreciated. TIA! :hello:

I can't answer your specific question, but I did get a camera shot in a rented car and never received a ticket. These guys catch a lot of people, and tracing stuff like this is work, more work than many people will want to invest.

You get a ticket for crossing the pedestrian line? I don't think they bother with that in TX, it's all they can do to get people to stop at all ...

Yep, in Texas you must follow travel through the intersection.
I know in Houston I believe 20% or so of camera shots are of people stopping late or right turns (neither of which get a ticket), and that is what the human is for to verify it is a legitimate ticket.

lol. I think in TX there is one free car through the red light on a left turn.

I hope you know that in CA, our plates are sent to us by mail weeks after we purchase/drive the car off the lot, with dealer paper advertisements and a temporary window sticker. In NY as I recall, the plates were put onto the car at the time of purchase.

You're home free.. no way they are zooming in to read a registration sticker.

Those things are all about the power of numbers.. no one is going to sweat a car with no plates.. there's another 10,000 violations in line to move along to.

I've *ahem* heard of someone going months through the FasTrak system with no plates and never had any issues..

OP, don't sweat it. No plates, no ticket. They use a crappy 12 megapixel camera that barely captures a license plate from 50' away. Your registration will show up as a pixelated blur unless the font they used was 4" high.

+1
Blows me away how many people in my area blow through stop signs without even slowing down. I saw 3 people back-to-back run a stop sign in a busy area. Ticks me off big time.
