Is it a good idea to apply blue masking tape on my front bumper and hood? I bet there are bugs on our cruise right?

A good coat of wax should do it. There are bugs, but not nearly as many at the altitude we will be at versus what you would catch in the valley. You want a clean car for those photo stops...right? I usually carry little plastic toolbox in the hatch with all of my cleaning supplies and when the oppurtunity arises thru out the run I will clean the bumper, windshield and mirrors. I will share if you like.

Final post before the run, call my cel listed on first post if you need to contact me.

The weather looks great, 93 degrees in Quincy….ouch and I thought we were getting out of the heat in the valley. It should be much cooler along the Feather River thru the canyon.

The final sign up list is on post # 2.

See everyone at the main staging area tomorrow at 9:00 am sharp for registration and lunch/dinner selection followed by a drivers meeting at 9:45 am and then we depart at 10:00 am. We are on a tight schedule so please be on time.

Great turn out!

This years run topped last year, allot more people and we could not have asked for better weather. The people really made this run!

Some came as far north as Chico, Santa Rosa, Oakland, south bay area and as far east as Reno. Met allot of new friends and caught up with old
friends. The food at both restaurants was delicious and the roads were absolutely in great condition. Very little traffic and overall we pretty
much had the road to ourselves.

Thanks to everyone that made the run. I will be hosting the run in 2011.

Pics soon.

Thx for grabbing a shot of my Z, not sure if it was visible with the blk 240sx in front of me. We really had the road to ourselves; people were standing out in the road taking pics for several minutes before another vehicle came thru. I see your nice 49th Anniv there to the left about half way down.

There were four 370Z’s on the run.

This was a great shot, looks like a steeple hill race. The incline was steep and I was in 4th gear and after about four turns and allot of incline I noticed my oil temp was one hash mark away from LIMP mode (260 degrees). Shifted the 5th gear and prayed I would make it to the top and hope it would cool down on the downward spiral to the canyon floor where the double bridge was located.

I made it, but was VERY disappointed in the oil temp. I have been hearing of oil temp rising in Los Angles traffic at rush hour and just out climbing small mountains. I have all along intended on getting an oil cooler, now I just confirmed it not only in my Z34 but also my bro’s red Z34 also climbed to near limp mode. The incline was not even that steep, it was gradual but a fast gradual if you know what I mean. Probably about a 6% incline in about 2 miles.

The blue Z34 is Tong's (TongMan)

Hwy 70 and Hwy 89 junction at the big old barn. We had just been in 93 degree temperature on the canyon floor and Quincy was no better. We had climbed another 2k feet and it was like someone turned on the air conditioner. It was a nice resting spot and to swap stories of the 6 that were told not to come back to Quincy and they have their plate numbers. Jim were you in the outlaw group of 6?

Nice selection of Z's / G's and mix of other sport cars.
