Any one have any recommendations for a spot to get the Z tinted AND possibly have my rear bumper touched up? Would be nice to find somewhere I can get both done at the same time.

Go to my buddy's shop in Sayreville! champion autosport! I'm getting my roof wrapped and windows tinted there next week most likely. If you go, tell them your friends with Benny from 370Z forums and he'll hook you up

Not at the moment due to weather lol but we will have a bear mountain run once it gets nice out...last year had one with a few Z32's as well great cruise and roads...we are also going to have a ZQ (BBQ) in the spring and some after as well

sounds good. So what's the local shop of choice to get some tuning done

6MT-Z34 02-19-2015 04:32 PM

Most of us go to either RAD in NY or RT Tunning in PA both are great shops but unfortunately not in jersey

Where do you guys go in North Jersey to get your tires mounted.

Bananaz 02-20-2015 12:06 PM

I'm not North but I go to JDS Motoring in Old Bridge (central nj) they work on mostly nissan/infiniti too which is cool. I'd also go to Pride Performance (keyport nj) but they said they couldn't do my 19's cause their machine only went up to 18"..

I was wanting to get my windows done for the longest time and finally made the appointment yesterday and they took me in today! Went to a place out in Feasterville PA called Shades of Grey Tint. You can google them and get directions. Heard they do excellent work through these forums ( AK370Z got his done thru there a few years back that he posted about and he was very satisfied... that was good enough for me ).

When I went there today, they had a Lexus and BMW already in the shop getting tinted. Took me in right away and was done a little over an hour. They were telling me they do like 5000 tints each year... they had like 4-5 people who were working on my car... couldn't ask for better service. Guys were great to talk to as well. Very happy with the results so far. Very affordable and best of all they offer a lifetime warranty on the install for defects or installation issues. Check em out when you have a chance. Catch you at one of the meets I'm sure... Good luck!

TechnicZ 02-21-2015 10:34 AM

KrnShawty 02-21-2015 10:36 AM

Little over an hour away, not bad.

Do you know if they are able to do minor body work? I have some scratches and a nice chip on my rear bumper I'd like to get taken care of.

Their core business is being a tint shop. I don't think they do any minor body work. Their website says that they also apply paint protection using a clear film but your paint has to be in good shape to begin with. Call em, find out. Perhaps they can recommend someone close by them.

UPDATE ON THE TINT SERVICE: 3 days in...so far, so good. Keeping the car exposed to the sunlight during the day to cure and inside the [heated] garage at night. I was expecting to see bubbles that they said would dry up in a few days and for the life of me I can't find 1 freakin bubble anywhere... they did a quality job. I'll see if I can take some photo's tomorrow if it's nice out and post up some pix on the Tint forums here.

KrnShawty 02-24-2015 12:36 PM

It's a nice sunny day for a drive... Anyone down?

kevink0621 02-24-2015 01:36 PM

I don't want to take out from my garage.
I will wait until April.

Hey the more the better...I don't think we have silver Z either, we do have the platinum graphite ...so you definitely should come!!

Chasingstatus 03-06-2015 09:45 AM

Hey whats going on guys? I was curious as to if there were any good meets coming up in the next few months down that way. I usually make the trip for formula drift every year mid june and was wondering if there was anything dope down that way since I have to try to pass off the first vacation this year as something my girl can "enjoy and not another damn car thing". Those are her words. Lol I of course am trying to pull one over like usual. We are heading down that way around memorial day. Anything such as aquariums or some **** that would entertain her is welcome. Plus it would be dope to meet some fellow forum ppl since upstate ny seems to be pretty dead. Any input is more than appreciated....I tried tricking her into ZdayZ but I slipped and showed her a video a week after I suggested NC.

6MT-Z34 03-06-2015 12:03 PM

Welcome! we are planning a bbq and cruise in a few weeks in april or may depending how the weather is...i wanted to go to ZdayZ as well but didn't book any rooms on time lol...i do plan on going to Z nationals which is towards the end of the summer/ beginning of fall

KrnShawty 03-06-2015 01:01 PM

We should make a small trip to the tail of the Dragon for fun lmao

KrnShawty 03-06-2015 01:04 PM

Yup

6MT-Z34 03-06-2015 01:09 PM

I wished i could go to ZdayZ...but yeah we should definitely plan it out

KrnShawty 03-06-2015 01:17 PM

Same here but all cabins are taken sigh

kevink0621 03-06-2015 01:47 PM

When is our first meet?

6MT-Z34 03-06-2015 02:29 PM

soon hopefully...most of the snow should clear this week hopefully

Kayzee 03-07-2015 01:59 AM

The craters in tri-state are real.

Imma wait for some patch work, these roads are undriveable

Chasingstatus 03-07-2015 06:43 AM

Thanks for the welcome. I would def be interested in hitting up some bbqs and meeting some of you guys. And plus 1 on the roads being undrivable. Plus I just bought some white forgestars.... soooo ima be a bit of a bitch for a little driving around pebbles and such. I was thinking about just finding a place like a hour or so out and just going back and forth to the Zdayz event. The girlfriend is not having it tho. As for the snow it says in the next two weeks on the monthly forecast it will be in the 40's. So that should be the death of this snow. Just curious, Do a lot of you come up this way for Znationals in Rochester? That is about a hour away from me. Id be interested in creating a caravan, Find some places to grab some food or something because at that point you guys would have already been on the road for about 4 hours. Then head to the show. that is if you guys are heading this way. I want to say it is july 18th-21st or something. Should be a good time.
