I have base with sport package-it has that awful sounding system HU in it-will installing some better speakers -nothing else- make the sound quality better?
THank you and I apologize for the repeat q.
Yes, a set of polk db component speakers "tweeter and woofer separate" and a head unit would make it sound a hindered times better.

I have already replaced the hu and now the speakers are the next project. I am not going to install and amp or sub. Are crossovers needed when just replacing the base speakers and tweeters? I want to too keep everything as simple as possible yet have something that sounds decent. I have been following a lot of the audio post but almost everything I am seeing includes amps and subs.
