No it's a coupe, I think they live in my neighborhood though since I saw the same Z today.

On Monday I saw a blue viper near where you parked and I thought that was your rain car for a second.

mrthomr 06-08-2013 10:44 PM

Saw a Z with a multi colored racing stripe going down drivers side on 79S today on my way to kennywood. Looked really cool.

I am having a terrible start to the summer, just got the car back last week, had a trans put in...This week I developed the rear axle click like the 350zs had, ok grease the axle splines, easy enough, except when the threads on the end of the axle are messed up and rip the threads right off the axle nut. JHC. Looks like someone at one time hit the end of the axle with a hammer and smashed in the first few threads, which I did not notice until it was too late. Now I am going to miss our local car cruise tomorrow night from Latrobe to the stacks at the waterfront, I am so pissed.

Thats a rough looking trail!! Rumor around here is that someone fell into a mine subsidence up there that weekend..(vehicle and all) But I cant confirm it.
There were 4 kids I knew in high school that went down one back in '83 or '84
over 100' down, and sides came in on them. Buried alive. (provided they survived the fall) Gotta be careful out there in the mountains around here.

We got the samething on this side of the state too. If you want to get rid of a dead body, that's where they go. If you want to see some videos of our outing. Go to youtube, and seach for Rusty PW Nismo. That's my channel. :D

Hello from pymatuning! Left the car in the shop to have inf of our techs to put my headers on... first job on this car I did not do myself...kind of remorseful haha. Will be up and running with z1 headers and FI non res exhaust on Tuesday. I have a Berk cbe I need to get rid of will part with it fairly cheap if anyone needs a decently quiet cbe. If anyone also wants headers installed I can get this guy to do if for a fraction of a regular shop install.

Very nice. Don't be sad though waders are a major pain to do lol when I only did my test pipes I hated me life struggling with the demon bolt.

Joepro 07-21-2013 12:54 PM

Ya I did my 350 headers and have scars from it!. I got lucky on the demon bolt... my car had a block put in it before I bought it and they never torqued down that bolt ...I fished what seemed miles if extensions down to the bolt prepared to muscle it and it turned with almost no effort haha.

I'd be very interested in the cost of labor considering I'll be swapping my headers out for something else at some point next year.

Driver Window Issue

Thanks to FPEnvy for mentioning months back at a Cars and Coffee event, I was able to re-index my driver window in the parking lot at work this morning after Googling the steps involved. I had shut the car off and it went half way down, not good on a day calling for rain later.

So the question to you all, is this a sign my battery needs replaced? Or was it just a fluke that it happened?

TIA!
-Rick

did you by chance sit on or have your keys in a weird spot where the unlock button was held? since we have the feature of auto roll down windows by holding the unlock button that could be the reason they were down. i have randomly been in close enough proximity and rolled down my windows partially.

ZeeZee 08-07-2013 09:58 AM

That is a great thought but it was only the driver side. Guess ill see if it happens again and hook up the battery on the charger overnight. My voltmeter hangs around 14.5 which I think is right.

yea i think thats about where my volts are at too. i cant remember if i had my windows do this after i did the button reset trick or not.

worst case we can mess with it at the C&C meet saturday if you go.

Welcome! I was actually just out that way a month ago or so for some ricer meet. Only stayed like 20 minutes because it was mostly teens and just beat vehicles. Few nice ones but far and few between lol not a far ride for me though.

I haven't been online as much lately due to new position at work but I do check and post when I have local events. Lately things have been slow and all I've been going to is some Pittsburgh cars and coffee meets. Mostly high end exotics and a few douchey characters but overall it's good people and a great time. Sadly their last official meet was this past Saturday. As I'm sure you've noticed the weather has turned against us and like joe pro I may be putting my Z away soon as well. Doesn't help that I got thread showing on both my rear tires either lol

If you got anything around you event wise feel free to post in here about it. All and everything is welcome

Rusty 10-22-2013 03:24 PM

Welcome here. :D I'm about 30 miles south of the 'burgh. On the Mon River.

My Nismo is up on jack stands. Doing my suspension. :D

Chef kid 10-23-2013 08:13 PM

Was that car meet at the mills mall? I see they have one every Friday. Never been but I see all kinds of cars there.

It was a Tuesday tuner or whatever they call it at the sonic in gibsonia. There's a good number of older model Z guys I see from the greensburg area. I think joepro is the only 370 guy at least to my knowledge from that area.
