@FPEnvy - What up man! Can't wait for the weather to break and get this d@mn salt off the roads! Where would you recommend I look for a hotel around there for ZDayz?

I'm waiting on my call back from Tony at FI for over a day now. This is killing me. I want in line! Vent is now over. I feel a little better. Left him a second message a couple minutes ago. This may be considered stalking. Lol.

If you would ever consider going single turbo Sasha at Boosted Performance has been out of this world in terms of customer service, it was a pleasure to give him 7k when I was ready to pay. He is sold out now but said he will still make a few kits if ordered. |
Quote:
i almost got banned when i ASKED about if they were gonna make a 7AT option and he basically made fun of 1/2 the forum community by saying 7AT is terrible and wouldnt cater to owners who dont drive a real transmission. if its the same guy/company i still hate them for being douches and terrrrrrrible business owners. like how dumb can you be :shakes head: |
True his kit will not work with 7AT, I never heard Sasha every bad mouth anyone, sorry to hear that happened, he bent over backwards with my issues due to having z1 headers install, one of the best experiences I have had to be honest.

honestly after all the horror stories of GTM, boosted being a douche, and not many other kits available if i would ever go forced induction it would be fast intentions. |
I love my 7AT. It fits my lazy personality.

hey everyone!
the warm weather is so close but feels so far still lol just figured i'd check see how everyone and their Z is doing. i personally will be ordering and installing (maintaining) a bunch of stuff in the next 2 weeks to ready my Z for spring weather. my list of to dos is as follows: oil change diff fluid change air filter change new tires (bumping to a 265/295 set up of michelin PSS's) new secret exhaust mod ;) thats all i can think of for now. i know joepro is currently boosting his Z so i'm excited for him and to see the finished product as well. |
I'm waiting on an April delivery date for my FI cbe. I have a cabin air filter that needs to go in. Other than that, I'm waiting on the warm weather too.

my new exhaust mod should be interesting and im quite excited about it lol car goes back on full insurance march 15th :tiphat: |
I'm on hold for everything. :( The company I work for has put up for sell my power plant. Duke Energy in Masontown. So until I get more info on this. I'm holding off on some stuff. :shakes head:

ok everyone seems like after this little stint of cold and possible snow that spring will finally be upon us.
seems like the end of the week is mid 50's into the 60's into next week!!! with that being said i figured if anyone got some last minute spring mods going on we can post it and discuss. i know jorpro got his turbo build going and his own thread for it. it looks awesome btw. also i will be posting some info on upcoming events/meets soon as well. most likely i will post a schedule for the pittscburgh cars & coffee meets along with links, dates of flashlight drags that are held in waynesburg pa and the one special event at the pittsburgh int'l race track, import face-off info at PRP drag strip, and stuff like carlisle shoe/zdayz if anyone is interested. soooooo for my spring mod list: fluids (since i recently hit 30k miles prior to putting the Z away its about time) new tires - michelin piolt super sports - going wider. 265/F and 295/R new air filters for my CAI and it actually goes in today to get my little secret exhaust mod done. it was in last week for it but the wrong parts came in so i brought it home to drive this past weekend. all parts are now in and correct so shouldnt be more than 1-3 days and i'll have some pics, sounds, and info :tiphat: |
Paint correction the Junkman way. I replaced in cabin filter and broke the plastic door in the process. Nothing a penny and some duct tape couldn't fix. :)
|
My car is all done, just waiting for April 11th to roll around to go get the final tune done, going to give it another once over tomorrow and see if I can hack up the OEM crash bar to make it fit, a local shop is capable custom fabing one but will not quote me a price, even a ball park so Ill see what I can make work. Plan on doing a rad upgrade in the future sometime, and then the stereo and diff are next on the list. Found the first after market wheel that I actually like on our cars as well (im wheel picky :) ) so maybe by July if business ever picks up, my paychecks are god aweful right now, this weather really stuck it to us this year...sigh. Thats my state of the Z.
|
hopefully your tune goes well and we can see some good numbers for your Z
Custom fab work is costly trust me lol I'm scared to see what this exhaust ends up costing. Quality work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't quality lol |
Yes but I know the guy there, he worked for our company for quite some time, and its a crash bar, they custom fabed theirs for their turbo kit, and it would take no time at all for their welder there, I know him through one of my techs, he is an AMZAING welder btw.
|
Very nice. I got some money tied up since I'm using stainless t-304 and all mandrel bends. Don't want 50 different welds in 3 feet of exhaust like other "custom" set ups I've seen on here lol
|
Sub'd because I would really like to make it to one of these meets!
FPenvy, im pretty sure I met you last year at prp and again at the flashlights. Im the guy with the red 370, the only other one there haha. Joepro, i'm a tech at a Chrysler store, I know all about how bad this winter was for all of us it seems like. What I do know through the past 8 years ive been doing this though is that is will all average out at the end of the year. People that didn't come in this winter will be coming in the next few months lol.I my self is waiting on a couple more paychecks to do full suspension/poly motor/trans/diff mounts all at once complete with costume exhaust. |
Ya we all keep telling ourselfs that's haha management doesn't want to hear it, naturally. Need to get out of this end of the business pronto.

i'll have a large list of events i know of coming up soon. also if anyone has info on things outside of my list please post them. i know joepro usually keeps me updated on the events out his way in greensburg as well. |

Any of you guys thinking about autox by the way with the SCCA Steel Cities region? |
Quote:
Welcome! I always see stuff about those autox events but never tried one. I'm more of a 1/4 mile guy lol |
I can dig it. Do you normally go to Pittsburgh Raceway on 22?
|
One of my techs at work is seriously involved with auto x, he helps maintain the track at Jennerstown, he always wanted me to try it, I dunno, my car will most likely be useless fr auto x with a turbo, but Ill probably give it a go for fun.
|
If it's not too huge, you should be fine out there. Worst case scenario, lots of left foot braking, hahaha.
Speaking of your techs, I might be dropping off a pair of rotors at the Honda dealership in a few weeks once it gets warmer. Maybe I'll see you there. |

I go there and out to Quaker city drag strip in Salem Ohio typically. Both are about equal distance in either direction of my house. |
