Look what happened with the Focus RS, of all things, they placed the wrong headgasket on that motor for example. That's just one example, and trust me when I say as an ex owner of one, it was a pain in the a$$ to get Ford to take it seriously and actually rectify the situation. I will never buy the first generation of anything anymore as a result.
