2018 Nissan 300Z May Be Ideal Successor Of 370Z
By Mario Caballero

"The Nissan 350Z and 370Z are both getting on in age now and both are just screaming out for a successor to arrive. Now we are hearing that the 2018 Nissan 300Z is being developed and it will be the ideal successor when it arrives on the market next year.

The vehicle has the name of the Nissan 300Z due to the fact that it offers the 3 litre twin turbocharged V6 engine. The 2 litre one is going to be the same one that was given to the new version of the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport.

The vehicle is going to offer a refined engine of 430 horses as opposed to the 400 horsepower and this should make the 2018 Nissan 300Z that bit more special along with it being more attractive.

People also hope that the 2018 Nissan 300Z might come with a retro look, such as that offered by the Fiat 124 Spider. If it does then the vehicle is going to offer plenty of flair and it should also make it more attractive than the 370Z."

This isn't really any new info unfortunately. In before the move to the $60k thread.

You want fast with 700-lb/ft torque, AWD, no sea level air density concerns, just get a Tesla Type S with the Ludicrous option and 0-60 in 2.6sec. (quicker than a new Z06 Vette.) Otherwise, I'm just fine with my '12 Touring Z. 400+ HP just won't get it. We'll see if the new Z is any prettier than the existing 370z. It's all in the eyes of the beholder. I'm good with all the compliments I get now...... until I can afford that 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra S/C that I really want.... which BTW isn't as fast as that d*mn Tesla!

If the new Z is remotely like any of the various artist renderings out there on the net, then I'm glad as hell that I got a Z before the redesign. All of the renderings, and I DO mean all of them are freakin' hideous.

Personally, I think the best looking Z's out there are the original 240's, the Z32 300's, the 350's and 370's.

And whenever they come out with the new Z, I hope they do the smart thing and have retro 240Z styling.

Uggghhhh the current sketch floating around is reminiscent of the 240z red white n Blue car from back in the day....

If you're referring to this thing, I'm still glad I got mine. That one looks like it was smashed in the rear by a Mack truck. Thanks, but not thanks.

That rendering is little over done but I think it has potential to translate well in real life. Especially if they are going with the 300zx styling, I could see it working really well.

$60k, i was hoping for 40k i mean its not like they'll put a nice interior in it, its a nissan. twin turboing a car doesn't cost $30k and that price point is what made the 350/370z so appealing IMO starting at 29k I mean come on...

$60K is possible only for top of the line models.... there most likely will be a 4 bangervstarting in the 20's n a 3.0tt starting in the 40's that competes with corvette, Porsche, etc.

U not getting 400+HP on a light chassis for $30K. Ur dreaming!!

ITT: People want to turn the 370Z into a bloated upscale luxury turd instead of just buying an RC F.

Oh wait we're not to the "$60K for the next Z" thread yet.

Well, I'll just wait right here then.

Or how about this is the "$40K for the next Z because it's a ******* Nissan" thread?
