Also fast Intentions had their exhaust for the VR done and tested already so I'm already set when the Z comes out if it's good and I get that instead of the gtr. |
I went and saw a Q60 today.. I noticed underneath that the rear doesn't have multi link suspension anymore... I wonder if this will transfer to the Z.

It's still going to have a traction, camber and mid link like the current car does. Those are the components that make up the "multilink". It's just missing the outboard spring because it's on the damper now. Edit: Take a look at the Infiniti website and look up the rear suspension specs. This is what it'll say: Independent, multi-link with coil springs over Dual Flow Path® shock absorbers, stabilizer bar[*] People don't realize this is the same chassis as the G37 with a few modified stampings. They just managed to void the car of any steering feel, exhaust sound and soul. |
For sure. I meant no perch for the separate spring. True coilover. :)

Article.... 300Z this Autumn
Cool.... Can't wait to see what it looks like. Seen random images online but not sure if any are actually legit...
Next Nissan Z: Breaking Its Cover This Autumn? – NSEAVoice |
Not dis shittt again..

It's just another speculative article. Everyone here already knows that:
A. Nissan is working on the next Z. B. The motor choice is undecided. C. It'll look different. |
D. It will come with a stupid AT
|
E. Many of us won't buy it if it only comes with 'D.stupid AT'
it will push a lot of people to other options with a MT. |

So this looks interesting and fits in with the new Z 500hp Nismo version. I find the current Q60RS to be tepid. I could get into this version.
This is Infiniti's idea of a 500bhp Q60 with F1 tech | Top Gear http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...psxumwanpb.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...psr4kconbw.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...psmgfv4qto.jpg |
Looks very interesting and promising. However, I won't believe anything until I see it in person.

That is allot I would rather buy a preowned GTR
|
 now that looks fcking great!
|
That's legit! Let's use that for the nismo Z35 and drop the extra weight the Q has. I love the rear diffuser
|
I'll take one. Hold the wing on mine, please.
|
Nice looking boat.

$75K-80K? Looks nice, I could live with it

I am sick of the front end styling that seems so prevalent these days with ugly cow catcher grills and scoops. And the rear looks hideous as well including the boy-racer wing. Pep Boys called Nissan's designers and wants their plastic glue on parts back.
But I like the 500 hp part. Fire the designers and hire someone who went to art school and knows what restraint in design means. |

I could definitely rock that.
That's supposed to be the same engine for the 500HP Z right? |
I hope so.

They have to do something with that catfish front grille. RUGGLY

Guessing the Black sport would come in about 60K given the RS is 53K base. That's assuming it has a new transmission. If it's the same 7-speed, figure on less than 60K. Right now they can't give the new Q60RS away and they've actually stopped production in Japan.
It's all vaporware at this point regardless. If you read the article, the KERS part of it doesn't even exist yet. Frankly, I don't understand why they just don't enlarge the snails slightly. No reason it couldn't produce 500hp with minimal lag with nothing more than a turbo swap. Guess it's easier to pass emissions while adding 100hp at the same time. |

they are hiking way too far up-market, again that's why the Q60RS is doing poorly, 53k base for an RS opens up the germans for those who want refinement and speed, opens up the Vette who just want pure speed, the dated 7AT as the only option is only doing harm, could have at least thrown a 6MT in there as an alternative. http://dailysunknoxville.com/2018-in...t-rs/920011779 |
It's also doing poorly because despite having 400hp, it's tepid. I just read the article you posted and no need to even compare it to the TT RS. Hell, a regular S3 or TT-S will outrun it quite easily. Numb steering (Audi has that too), no limited slip, no edge, maxed out turbos, average handling and 3800 plus pounds. I find my current ride to be far more stimulating and exciting than the RS, despite having 50 less hp and far less torque.
It does pair up well to the non-M and non-S cars but that ain't saying much these days. You can still option out a Q60RS and come in well under the competition and have 100 extra hp to boot. Still, it's only a 13 second car in the 1/4 mile and instrumented tests are nowhere to be found. Personally, I blame Carlos. That dude has done nothing but milk the brand for every last penny. It's like Vegas. Looks great but behind the scenes, it's all a facade. |

I've just realised what this is. It's a Honda Civic TypeR, on steroids. Not for me, I'm sorry to say. |

Isn't all this stuff about the new Z35 practically just rumors? I don't think Nissan themselves have released anything right?

I predict most Red Sports (RS) will maybe see around 440whp with all the bolt-ons and a tune. Not bad but I think 500hp is out of the question (safely). Link: https://blog.stillen.com/2016/12/to-...30ddtt-turbos/ Edit: The new Z is at least two years away so I wouldn't suggest things one way or another as they could change or "upgrade" the turbos between now and then. I think it's unlikely, given Nissan's snail pace for evolution and propensity to reuse old parts, they'll be any different than what's on the Infinitis. The SS turbos are the same as the RS but the RS has an optical sensor allowing the turbo to be spun faster and closer to it's limit. |
