I dont see a v8. Im hopeful for a turbo 6, and disgusted at miata comparable turbo 4

Like you said, all we can do is speculate and talk about what Nissan is going to do. There are so many threads on the next Z car. All these rumors going one way and the others that contradict with each other. I personally hope they don't go that route and try and be a FRS/BRZ.. Turbo please :excited:?!

I think I have a thread about this. Subaruwrxfan reports

I hope they stop production of this car completely. To make mine so much more rare and or collectors item.

I want to see a V6 TT version for the Nismo and a Single Turbo for the other versions.
Let's beef it up and not be like the FRS or BRZ (of which I think of it as a lowered camry s) |

How many of these? 2017 earliest IF they don't take a hiatus.

I'm not sure which test drive disappointed me more... the cumbersome, wallowing sow that was the Camaro SS or the anemic, laughably underpowered waif that was the much-lauded Scion FRS (aka Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86).
I chose the Z over a 5.0 Mustang due to its balance of power and handling, striking aesthetics, and general grin factor. Full knowing that the 5.0 is faster in every way, mind... If there were anything I'd change about my Z it would be to simply add power, preferably in the form of about 50ft/lbs of mid-range torque, an aspect which is severely lacking in this car (I'm used to Mustangs). I'd have no desire to purchase a Miata competitor. A turbo VQ37 would be ideal, a return to an I-6 would be a bold and welcome statement, and a N/A v8 could once again out-compete the current muscle cars while being somewhat of a departure from what the Z was intended to be in the first place. A 4-cylinder IMO is just an insult and should never carry the iconic Z badge. |

You picked the wrong SS to test drive if you're an enthusiast? The 1LE will **** on all of the above. |
TTV6... that's all that needs to happen.

I have to agree with Lucas61, overall those are my sentiments also, as far as the 5th gen. Camaro goes look at all the significant improvements they have made in five years, but you had to wait that long to get a decent car. Along with improvements have come significant price increases and now with the Ford finally making at better Mustang here comes the next Camaro with improved refinements. I think I would rather purchase a decent used 7th gen. Corvette if I can trust build quality and reliability.

I love the idea of an I6. I remember Honda was originally thinking I5 for the S2000. Would be nice to see Nissan use two of those heads in a big V12 for a super car. That probably wouldn't happen with the GT-R, though.
Mustangs do not age well and are generally a dime a dozen. I like the new Camaro. |
