The amount by which your bitch sticks are supposedly faster is statistically insignificant. Your preference of an automatic just makes you a bitch :stirthepot:

Oh $hit ... wrong thread :icon17:

Wait, they make "sports cars" with automatic transmissions? :rofl2:

When they first offered the 240Z with an automatic in the early 70's that version of the car became known as a "Secretary Special" because of the demographics of the buyers. It more hideously transformed into a 2+2 version for secretaries and their rugrats.

I still consider the Z with an automatic as a chickmobile or made for millenials who never learned to drive a car with a manual transmission as god and Karl Benz intended.

And yeah I know about some cars like the GTR and others that are only autos but we are talking about when you have a choice.

I wonder if the Z35 will come standard with the dreaded "steering lock" :roflpuke2:

Yes, it will have multiple slotted holes spaced 1/8" apart all around it. It will fasten to the steering wheel and will not unlock until you shake the wheel.....:roflpuke2:

Oh wait..... that was GM..... NVM......:owned:

Well, notwithstanding the degree of insult inflicted on self-described "sports car purists", I think, we can probably expect all flavors of the Z to offer the 7AT as an option, as it seems to be the only available trans on the Q60 (and is now available on latest Nismo, plus was always an available option on all the Japanese models), it would be weird for them to simply not bother to include it.

I'll buy the most powerful one I can afford that also has the 7 speed. I love that trans, and after tuning, its really, really fast on the gear changes.

Of course, I'm pretty sure there will be a 6MT version for each as well, so something for everyone

Actually, does anyone know if there are mechanical differences between the 300 and 400 bhp 3.0TT models? Is it all just tune, or does the 400 hp one have differently sized turbos?

EDIT: According to A Deeper Look at Infiniti's New Twin-Turbo 3.0-liter V-6

This speed sensor is what allows engine programmers to spin the VR’s turbos up to 240,000 rpm, a speed Infiniti claims is the fastest of any production V-6 engine.

Well, shit. That's pretty exciting! That all sounds upgradeable via tuning and maybe a few other minor changes, like the speed sensor they mentioned. I wonder about the motor mounts, tho...

Honestly IDGAF whether it is manual or automatic, as long as it is fun. The fun factor is a must. I own a Juke nismo AWD CVT, it is still fun to drive. People crack me up with the whole manual vs automatic thing much like muscle vs import, to each their own and be happy.

I hope nissan has good plan for next fairlady z cause that q60 is damn hot!
