Like FP said, TPs, larger diameter exhaust, new intakes, and probably switching to an air-to-air intercooler, plus a tune, will easily put you over 400HP. My Mazdaspeed had all of that, with an off the shelf tune that bumped it 70HP.

Plus if they are turbo, Cobb will probably start supporting the platform since they already tune GT-Rs. So off the shelf tuning and support and probably easier to find a tuner than the current VQ.

Oh word!! And COBB is right here in Plano. I'll be there first customer. Lol 😁

Shouldn't waste your time with COBB their OTS maps for the R35 are garbage.

A dyno tune would be a much better choice.

If you don't mind me asking? What makes Cobb tunes garbage specifically for the R35?

Not on a turbo motor. Most factory FI motors make a lot of power with basic bolt ons and a tune.

My point is that you still have to by part or tune it and that = $$$$

I used an OTS tune for a little while and then used an e-Tuner. Both are way cheaper than a garage/dyno tune, and are quite safe for the motor. I was saving up for a real dyno tune, but could have fun while I waited.

How is that any different than what 95% of Z owners here do already? At least on a factory FI motor you get 75+ whp for the same parts that only get you 25 on a NA motor?

I personally think almost all their tunes are garbage but the R35 would be the most similar platform. In the case of the R35 you spend a good chunk of money and don't get anywhere near as good of results as you do with a Ecutek tune.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your post, but are you saying COBB tunes are "garbage" because the results from their canned tune are inferior to having your car tuned by a professional EcuTek tuner on a dyno?

So ... the Q60 isn't coming out until next year? Come on Infiniti!!!

That's what it sounds like he's saying. That the free tunes you can download and swap to your heart's content are inferior to a specific tune to your car.
